PURPOSE OF POSITION To prepare and paint equipment utilizing electrostatic paint process. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. More specifically, the person will: Place items or products on feed racks, spindles, or reel stands to coat, paint or spray using hands, hoists or truck lifts. Clean parts and weldments using water, solvents, and other cleaning aids. Prepare parts and weldments for paint booth using sanding tools, caulk, masking tape. Operate paint booth spray equipment and oven. Determine paint flow, viscosity and coating quality by performing visual inspections. Manual spray parts & weldments with primer and topcoat paints. Start and stop the operation of machines using levers or buttons. Weigh or measure chemicals, coatings or paints. Record paint film thickness. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
