Mix and match colors of paint. Maintain a clean work area, tools, and equipment. Perform other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no supervisory responsibilities. REQUIREMENTS Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED equivalence plus one to three years of marine painting experience desired. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered. Knowledge of ship terminology, safety, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations desired. Knowledge of the transportation and storage of hazardous material requirements desired. Working knowledge of marine coating applications and surface preparation required. Working knowledge in the proper use and care of spray guns, brushes and rollers, sandblasting equipment, etc. required. Skills: Ability to read and comprehend written, oral, or diagram forms. Physical Requirements: * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs following appropriate safety procedures * Work in an upright standing position for long periods of time; be able to reach overhead; have full range of mobility in upper and lower body * Be able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time, climbing stairs, navigating the property/building quickly and easily as required to meet the job functions * Climb ladders and work at heights above ground level (maximum 14 ft on A-frames and 21 ft on extension ladders) * Ability to work in different environmental working conditions (e.g., heat, cold, wind, rain, humidity) * Repeat various motions with the wrists, hands and fingers * Be able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment up to 50 lbs occasionally to complete assigned job tasks * Communicate, receive and exchange ideas and information by means of the spoken and written word * Maintain a valid Florida driver's license Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30AM-5:00PM Compensation: $20 hour Disclaimer: The above information in this description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
