The Painter is responsible for daily painting, fix minor issues, and light repairs to maintain the building. Key Responsibilities include: * Perform routine painting, patching, surface prep, and finishing of walls, doors, ceilings, and trim using hospital approved materials * Conduct minor carpentry repairs including patching holes, replacing wall protection, baseboards, corner guards, and repairing non-fire rated doors. * Protect floors, furniture, and equipment using approved coverings, and follow proper cleanup procedures. * Maintain safe work practices in behavioral health environments, including tool control, ligature-risk awareness, and safe interaction with patients. * Respond to work orders and complete required documentation. * Assist with general handyman tasks as assigned including light plumbing, and fix minor electrical issues. * Report any situations that may affect the health and wellbeing of patients or employees. * Self-starter with good time management skills. * Assist the Director of Plant Operations as needed. Qualifications Position Requirements: Experience: A minimum of one (1) year experience in handyman/painter duties; healthcare environment preferred. Additional Requirements: Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Must be willing to travel from Torrance, CA to Rosemead, CA. May be required to work variable shifts, overtime and flexible hours. This position is shared between Del Amo Hospital in Torrance, CA and BHC Alhambra in Rosemead, CA.
