Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore-Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is located in Michigan's Upper Peninsula on the south shore of Lake Superior between the communities of Munising (population 2,500) and Grand Marais. Amenities in Munising include basic shopping, medical facilities, and K-12 schools. Summers are generally warm and pleasant.
Major duties include but not limited to preparing various surfaces of interior and exterior components of buildings and other structures by mechanically and chemically removing old paint and rust, filling cracks, sanding and applying fillers and base coats. Washes and sands surfaces as necessary and treats them with oil, turpentine, or other preparations. Selects more sophisticated methods of surface preparation when necessary to ensure a high quality, decorative finish. Mixes, thins, blends, matches, tints and tones coating materials. Adds pigment and/or thinners to gauge the change of color tone and drying properties. Mixes stains, epoxies, enamels, varnishes, shellacs, lacquers, plastic paints, bituminous paints and other surface coating materials. Applies coating materials using brushes, rollers, spray guns and other means of applications. Applies coating techniques that ensure surfaces have a smooth textured and decorative appearance and meet thickness and level requirements. Sets up, adjusts, and operates spray painting equipment or other power painting equipment. Sands between coats and rubs or polishes final coats as necessary to obtain proper adhesive between coats and specified finishes. May bake finish on enameled and painted articles. Utilizes safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean environment. Physical Demands: The painter prepares and coats surfaces from ladders, scaffolds platforms, and in situations where the surfaces to be coated are in cramped and hard to reach places. The work may be at extreme heights (such as water towers or tall buildings). This requires the ability to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, climb, be strapped into swing stages and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Ability to lift, carry and set up materials and equipment that weighs up to 10 pounds. Occasionally, may be required to handle materials and equipment that weighs 40 pounds and over.
Working Conditions: The work is done inside and outside, with dirt, spray, and fumes usually present. The employee is sometimes required to prepare, treat and coat surfaces outside in all types of weather. Protective equipment and clothing such as safety shoes, safety glasses or sun glasses, gloves, rain gear, hard hats, coveralls, respirators and other protective gear are required, which are sometimes heavy and uncomfortable. Wet Coat Paint Line Team Supervisor Postle Extrusion, a leading manufacturer of aluminum extrusions located in Cassopolis, MI is seeking a Wet Coat Paint Supervisor.
The individual would be responsible for leading a group of people in the safe operation of the paint department. Knowledge of painting application processes is preferred by not required. For the right applicant, looking to learn and grow with the company, all needed training will be provided. Bilingual applicants are a plus and strongly recommended to apply.
Paint Line Supervisor will ensure all proper safety, quality and production processes are being followed as well as ensuring production schedules and customer deliveries are prioritized and completed on time. Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Responsibilities and Duties
To ensure Safety is the #1 priority at all times.
Ensures team members are all following all safety processes and conducting monthly safety reviews
Participates with and motivates team members to actively pursue continuous improvement activities to promote safety, quality, delivery and cost initiatives
Coach/develop, and train team members.
Maintains/monitors production goals and effectively communicates requirements to team members.
Ensures that department is meeting its production goals.
Identifies and reports machine and equipment malfunctions to maintenance team members.
Ensures that good quality parts are being ran consistently and they are being handled properly at their corresponding press locations
Maintains good housekeeping/ 5S visual workplace
Maintains open communication with the Crew, Supervisors, Production Management and Planning.
Must communicate in a timely and effective manner.
Must be able to follow directions and complete follow through with directions.
Enforces company policies, rules, regulations in a firm, fare, and consistent manner.

Position Overview
Join us in the summer of 2026 and help us continue the legacy of fostering creativity, nurturing talent, and celebrating the individual artistic journey at Interlochen. We are seeking creative and detail-oriented Painters who embody our core values and are committed to nurturing young artists all while fully immersing themselves in the unique environment only a summer camp can provide. As a Painter, you will be painting all of the set pieces and props for all of the student theatrical productions.

Assist with load in and strike of all scenery
Follow all safety guidelines when working with paints, solvents, and other chemicals, and ensure a safe work environment.
Work efficiently to meet tight deadlines during the build process, ensuring that painted elements are completed on schedule.
This position has the potential to work on the run crew as needed.
