Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Maintenance and Repair
* Prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding and removing old paint, filling holes, cracks, and joints with appropriate filler. Tape, float, and texture walls and ceilings.
* Select premixed paints or mix required portions of pigment, oil, and thinning and drying substances to prepare paint to match specified colors.
* Paint surfaces, using brushes, spray gun, paint rollers, or other methods to achieve required effects. Stain, seal, and varnish wood surfaces.
* Erect scaffolding, set up ladders, or use hoists to perform tasks above ground level.
* Pick up and deliver painting supplies to campuses; maintain delivery records.
* Receive and complete work orders. Identify and complete needed repairs on buildings, grounds, and equipment using established inspection procedures. Maintain accurate records on material and labor used.
* Maintain inventory of tools and assist with inventory control of materials and equipment.
* Inspect jobs after completion and ensure areas are clean.
Safety
* Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment and ensure equipment is in safe operating condition.
* Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting and climbing. Operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures.
* Handle and dispose of paint, stain, varnish, and other chemicals according to established procedures.

3rd Shift - Full Time
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Manually prepares work surfaces. Uses standard work to mix, spray and decal work surfaces with protective material. Operates shop machinery, hand tools, portable powered hand tools, and other equipment needed for preparation, painting and movement of parts
Basic Qualifications:
* Good Communication skills and strong commitment to safety and teamwork
* Previous paint application experience
* Ability to perform simple computer operations
* Previous experience in manufacturing or paint environment
Physical Demands:
* Must be physically mobile with ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, reach and climb
* Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 35 lbs minimally, up to 20 lbs occasionally and up to 10 lbs frequently
* Must be able to see, hear and speak
Additional Information:
* 3rd Shift (11:00 pm to 7:30 am)
* Full-Time position with benefits
* Starting pay is $18.44 hr. (3rd shift will receive an additional $1.00 hr for working an off shift)
* Ability to work overtime as needed

Performs other duties as required. QUALIFICATIONS A high school diploma or equivalent, minimum eighteen years old, and be able to work well with their hands. Ability to judge colors is important. Working knowledge of different application techniques, proper care of tools and safe use and handling of paint, solvents, and adhesives.
