Job Responsibilities * Performs all types of industrial/automotive painting work. * Prepares various surfaces for painting. * Paints buildings, structures, and any kind of construction equipment using a brush, spray gun, or other applicators. * Paints steel structures, cement, drywall, wood surfaces, and all Cianbro Equipment from start to finish. Qualifications/Requirements * 5 years of experience in the industrial/ automotive painting trade. * Considerable knowledge of industrial/automotive applications and appropriate coatings for painting in a shop environment. * Ability to work on any surface prep and work with all different coatings (epoxy, urethane, enamels, etc.) independently. * Ability to make minor repairs on equipment and wear full-face respirator/PAPR. * Ability to utilize Blueprint coating specs and masking. * Ability to work at extreme heights in various weather conditions. * Extensive knowledge of safety standards/precautions pertaining to painting and the ability to read and follow MSDS recommendations and requirements. JOB TITLE: Painter REPORTS TO: Paint Foreman Summary of position: Assist in surface preparation, mixing of paint, application of coating, striping, and clean up. May be required to perform additional duties as deemed necessary by the supervisor for the completion of the job in a safe and timely manner. Required Education: None Required Experience: Formal or informal on the job training and two years of experience in the application of coatings in the marine industry.
