Your primary duties include preparing surfaces, mixing and matching paint colors, applying coatings with brushes, rollers, or sprayers, and ensuring a high-quality finish. Additionally, you'll collaborate with other maintenance staff to coordinate painting projects, maintain painting equipment, and adhere to safety regulations and environmental guidelines. Key Responsibilities: Complete unit turn paint; including touch up paint, color change, ceiling, cabinets baseboard and trim as directed by manager. Complete drywall repairs to surfaces in vacant and occupied apartment homes. Complete exterior wood, stucco and fencing repairs and paint. Any common area paint touch ups, hallway, curb paint. Applies paints, sealers, and solvents to exterior and interior building surfaces such as plaster, sheetrock, concrete, and wood. Performs building exterior and interior caulking, finish repair, mud and tape, and texturing tasks. Operates equipment such as airless spray equipment, scaffolding. Performs special refinishing tasks including wood surface preparation, staining, and sealing. Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices. Performs minor plaster repair, blending newly renovated wall surfaces with existing plaster. Surveys building painting project sites to estimate time and material quantities required; selects appropriate surface coatings. Qualifications: Professional Experience: Minimum one year of painting experience required, multifamily experience preferred. Education: High school education or equivalent is preferred. Accurately perform basic mathematical functions. EPA Universal Certification preferred. Certified Pool Operator (CPO) Certification preferred. Computer Skills: Basic computer and internet knowledge preferred. Ability to use on-site resident management software preferred. POSITION SUMMARY The Painter will apply base and clear coats to the apparatus, sanding out any imperfections prior to painting. They will tape, mask, and cover body and cab openings with plastic before applying the coatings. The Painter will also prepare the truck for the buffing station to support a smooth workflow and maintain overall efficiency. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS All employees are required to support Rosenbauer's Mission, Vision, and Values. The following are the essential duties of this position and do not include marginal functions that are incidental to the performance of fundamental job duties. The scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of Rosenbauer. Applies the base and clear coats to the apparatus. Mixes paint for application per paint specifications. Sands out imperfections before paint application. Tapes, masks, and applies plastic cover to body and cab openings before coating.
