Pier Sixty-Six Resort is looking for a Painter to join the team. The Painter is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of aesthetic upkeep and maintenance across all property areas. This includes detailed and precise interior and exterior painting, expert woodwork patching, meticulous furniture refinishing, skilled sheetrock repair, and precise framing. Responsibilities Maintain knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards. Repair and maintain all painted surfaces, including preparing and installing various paints and wall coverings (e.g., wallpaper, vinyl). Perform sheetrock repairs and framing tasks as required. Strip and refinish furniture in guest and resident rooms. Communicate effectively with guests, residents, management, and co-workers, addressing any concerns promptly and ensuring guest satisfaction. Organize materials, tools, and equipment for daily assignments, ensuring cleanliness and orderliness of work areas. Team Collaboration: Assist with any special projects assigned by supervisors, including carpentry work and room maintenance tasks like caulking bathtubs and grouting tile. Fluency in job-related English, both verbal and non-verbal, and ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. Salary Description $18 - $21/ph DOE & Credentials

As a Painter / Maintenance Staff Member, maintains building/facility by cleaning surfaces mixing and applying paint and other finishers; Prepares interior and exterior surfaces of building/units/common areas; Position may be indoors to maintain the interior of the community, outdoors to maintain the exterior, or a mixture of both. Your Responsibilities: * Ensures that security procedures are adhered to at all times. Painting of all common areas and touch up may be required. * Responsible for inspecting areas that need paint and advising manager. * Properly matches colors and mixes paint. * Ensures all safety precautions are followed while performing work. * Maintains a positive working relationship with building staff. * Completes daily work orders as scheduled. * Ability to properly utilize new equipment and follow safety procedures prior to using this equipment. Skills & Qualifications: * High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred. * Requires a minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of experience in the application of paint. * Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required. Physical Requirements: * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs following appropriate safety procedures * Work in an upright standing position for long periods of time; be able to reach overhead; have full range of mobility in upper and lower body * Be able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time, climbing stairs, navigating the property/building quickly and easily as required to meet the job functions * Climb ladders and work at heights above ground level (maximum 14 ft on A-frames and 21 ft on extension ladders) * Ability to work in different environmental working conditions (e.g. heat, cold, wind, rain, humidity) * Repeat various motions with the wrists, hands and fingers * Be able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment up to 50 lbs occasionally to complete assigned job tasks * Communicate, receive and exchange ideas and information by means of the spoken and written word * Maintain a valid Florida driver's license Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM What We Offer: As a full-time non-exempt associate, you will be eligible for full comprehensive benefits to include your choice of multiple medical plans, dental, and Vision.
