The Production Painter works primarily in the paint room and paint booth to paint, stain, and clear- coat various products. This team member will be expected to produce consistent quality in all paint, stain, and clear coating. The painter will be responsible for maintaining the equipment used in the paint room and the cleanliness of the paint room and paint booth. The painter will primarily paint products made from: hardwood, wood products such as MDF, plywood, HDU, Gatorfoam, plastics, and enamel receptive vinyl using a gravity feed compressed air spray gun. This team member must read and understand engineered shop drawings. The fabrication painter will be responsible for ordering primer, paint, clear coat, and stain that are to be successfully applied on products and in retail spaces for our partners. The Production Painter works primarily in the paint room and paint booth to paint, stain, and clear- coat various products. Primary Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day projects and complete assigned tasks Progressive knowledge of materials and their applications Maintain inventory needs specific to the area Keep and maintain accurate information related to project tracking on designated platforms Assist team members as needed and communicate resource needs to the coordinator Make recommendations for adjustments related to projects Ensure the quality and timeliness of scheduled tasks and projects Strive for precision and accuracy - CRAFTSMANSHIP Keep and maintain a clean and organized work area to meet standards set by the Director Flexible with an ever-evolving scope of work Aid in project planning by understanding the wants and needs of our partner and suggesting applications that serve them best Freely and openly communicate questions, changes, and department concerns with the coordinator and/or Director to ensure weld shop success Attend departmental L10 meetings and meetings on assigned projects Participate and engage in meetings & trainings to help create synergy and a positive work environment, as well as collect information pertinent to assembly Report weekly, or as needed, on assignments given by the coordinator and/or Director Provide consistent verbal and written communication between yourself and coworkers Continually develop manufacturing abilities, interpersonal skills, communication, and professional growth by experience in the field, cross-training, and research Seek to understand industry materials and their applications Follow all procedures and protocols listed in the Team Member Handbook Work hours are 7am - 4pm, M-F, with a 1-hour lunch break mid-day (unless an alternate work schedule is approved by the Manufacturing Director)
