Roehm America LLC is currently seeking to fill Process Operator positions supporting our Bay City, Texas facility. Employees in this position receive work direction from the Shift Supervisor and work with other operators in performing routine plant operating duties, including, but not limited to the following:
WHAT YOU WILL DO
1. Safely operate pumps, compressors, reactors, distillation columns and other plant equipment within safe operating range
2. Make changes to the operating process necessary to maintain product quality
3. Monitor the performance of plant equipment and process conditions. Read flow meters and temperature and pressure gauges. Take routine readings on process variables.
4. Operate control room instrumentation systems
5. Draw samples of products from the process for laboratory testing
6. Perform lab testing on some process streams
7. Promptly respond to process alarms / constraints
8. Start-up/shut-down process equipment
9. Prepare equipment for maintenance
10. Participate on Emergency Response Team (fire-fighting).
WHAT WE ARE SEEKING
• Process Technology Degree or Relevant Experience
• Basic computer skills
• Required to work 12 hour rotating shift work schedule (including nights, weekends, holidays). Operating needs of the unit dictate work schedule. Will be required to work overtime; standby coverage assigned on some off days.
• Must possess basic computer skills.
• Currently possess or able to obtain a TWIC Card
• Will be required to understand and follow plant policies and procedures.
• Must be able to read and communicate verbally and written using the English language.
• Must be able to complete the requirements of the formal operator's training program. To become fully certified, candidate will be required to successfully complete the entire certification process.
• Must follow all plant safety guidelines and policies, which includes the wearing of fire-retardant clothing and personal protective equipment (PPE).

Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for overseeing the teams engaged in construction activities; and planning, coordinating, assisting in cost control, and ensuring a safe work environment.
Entails operating and promoting safe working on site and implementing company requirements and legal regulations, paying specific attention to HSE legislation and quality.
Recommend repairs, supervising the maintenance of tools and equipment, and determining work procedures.
Conduct and amend risk assessments and deliver toolbox talks/briefings; and prepare reports on project time and equipment.
Involves interpreting plans, Isometric drawings, and sketches of proposed structures in terms of the relevant specifications.
Organize and monitor the work of subcontractors on site, and perform equipment and material management duties, and ensure the completion of works on time and within budget.

Inspect fluid levels in steering gears, power steering reservoirs, transmissions, differentials, rear axle housings and shackles
Checking tire pressure, adding water to radiators, and replacing oil and air filters
Lubricating moving parts with specified lubricants
Draining oil from crankcases and refilling with oil
Inspecting all vehicles for additional repairs
