PALCO history
PALCO company history timeline
PALCO was founded in 1986 in Huntsville, Alabama, when GTE Corporation (now part of Verizon) divested its telephone repair, refurbishment, and payphone manufacturing businesses.
PALCO began to flourish, and soon experienced another merger in June of 1990 with WABASH/Sylvania Federal Credit Union.
In 1994-95 the conductor division was awarded the ISO 9002 certificate by RWTUV Germany.Pennar Aluminium plans to expand the capacity of its strip plant to 45000 tpa and that of the conductor division to 10000 tpa.
With PALCO's newborn success, PALCO decided to build its newest home in August 1999, a 5,000-sq/ft. building in Muncy, PA.
Palco has been providing VF/EA FMS to Arkansas since the beginning of its participant-directed program, IndependentChoices—first as a subcontractor, then as a general contractor in 2003.
In 2010, PALCO opened its doors in the Netherlands to service the EMEA region.
PALCO expanded its global reach again in 2014 in Juarez, Mexico, and Penang, Malaysia.
Since 2018, PALCO has expanded its footprint in the United States and the APAC region to accommodate increased client demand.
Attention PALCO Members - Effective June 28th, 2021: In accordance to the Pennsylvania Department of Health lifting Universal Masking, masks are no longer necessary for members in the PALCO office.
Most recently on February 28th, 2022, PALCO Federal Credit Union’s Board of Directors adopted an amendment to convert its charter status from a Common bond or Select Employer Group Charter to a Community Charter.
