Cons of working at Palm Beach Tan

Palm Beach Tan does not pay a living wage and does not care, weak commissions, no upward mobility/dead end job, long hours, constant staffing issues because no one can afford to work that much for so little pay, district and regional management ignore GIANT issues , employees are powerless — the company is toxic and does not care about their employees. Do not work here.

Cons of working at Palm Beach Tan

Palm Beach Tan is an extremely toxic work environment. Higher up management doesn’t treat their employees working in the stores like real people with real lives outside of work. There is no praise for accomplishments only degrading comments/snarky remarks. Promoting people is based off favoritism and not who is actually best for the job. They use earning high commission as an incentive but cut commission percentages without warning or notice to employees. They do not care about employee safety in the store whatsoever! The pay for store managers is sickening compared to the workload required. Store managers are threatened write ups/termination if they don’t work other employees shifts that call out, even if that means working without a day off for multiple weeks straight. Ryan Baker has stated “I wouldn’t even know how to put a card on file if selling a membership” but that’s PBT’s Regional Vice President. The customers and employees deserve better.
