Drivers are responsible for inspecting mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment, securing cargo, and operating tractor trailers to deliver materials safely and efficiently to customers. They follow DOT and company regulations, maintain accurate ELogs, and ensure proper documentation and customer interaction at each stop.
Shift: Monday-Friday 5 AM-6 AM start time until end of route (Overtime Required as Business Dictates).
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect and maintain mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment to ensure compliance and operational readiness.
Check vehicles before driving and secure cargo for safe transport.
Follow all DOT and company safety procedures during transit and delivery.
Operate tractor trailers to deliver materials, handling strapping/unstrapping and rag side trailer functions at each stop.
Maintain accurate log books, obtain delivery receipts or signatures, and collect payments as required.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
1-3 years of recent driving experience in a commercial motor vehicle
Hold a current, valid Class A CDL
Satisfactory criminal background check
Satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR)
Satisfactory result on a pre-employment drug screening
Satisfactory PSP (Pre-Employment Screening Program) report
Acceptable DOT-compliant employment verification(s)
Acceptable FMCSA Clearinghouse report
Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (issued within the last 90 days or must be renewed prior to hire)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Unloads product from trailer, by hand or using a hand cart down ramps, stairs, or docks, in all weather conditions and places in designated customer storage areas according to customer specifications and company standards (e.g., handling product according to preferred work methods, scanning product as it is delivered into the store).
Ensures all paperwork is completed according to established company and governmental guidelines (e.g., DOT electronic or manual logs, inspections, company vehicle maintenance reports and pre- and post-trip reports are completed accurately and submitted on a timely basis, ensures all invoices are accurate and turned in daily and all damages and shortages are reported promptly).
Ensures all food safety protocols are met according to established guidelines (e.g., proper temperatures are maintained in the delivery vehicle, product is inspected for visible damages prior to delivery, product is delivered and stored to prevent cross contamination) and maintains sanitary conditions in tractor and trailer; assists with maintaining sanitary conditions in the warehouse and yard.
Develops and establishes good relationships with customers by providing excellent and courteous service with clear communication.

REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma/GED/equivalent degree, plus 1 year of tractor trailer driving experience. Completion of a tractor trailer driving school will be accepted instead of, or in addition to a high school diploma.
1 year of verifiable tractor trailer driving experience required. Food and/or beverage delivery experience a plus.
CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License. Must be insurable to operate a vehicle as a condition of initial and continued employment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:?
Unloads product from trailer, by hand or using a hand cart down ramps, stairs, or docks, in all weather conditions and places in designated customer storage areas according to customer specifications and company standards (e.g., handling product according to preferred work methods, scanning product as it is delivered into the store).?
Ensures all paperwork is completed according to established company and governmental guidelines (e.g., DOT electronic or manual logs, inspections, company vehicle maintenance reports and pre- and post-trip reports are completed accurately and submitted on a timely basis, ensures all invoices are accurate and turned in daily and all damages and shortages are reported promptly).
Ensures all food safety protocols are met according to established guidelines (e.g., proper temperatures are maintained in the delivery vehicle, product is inspected for visible damages prior to delivery, product is delivered and stored to prevent cross contamination) and maintains sanitary conditions in tractor and trailer; assists with maintaining sanitary conditions in the warehouse and yard.
Develops and establishes good relationships with customers by providing excellent and courteous service with clear communication.

REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:??
High school diploma/GED/equivalent degree, plus 1 year of tractor trailer driving experience preferred. Completion of a tractor trailer driving school will be accepted instead of, or in addition to a high school diploma.?
CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:?
Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License. Must be insurable to operate a vehicle as a condition of initial and continued employment.?

The CDL A Driver will be responsible for transporting bulk water in tankers, and finished product in trailers, between our Chippewa Falls locations. When not busy driving truck, they will fill in as a forklift driver, unloading/loading products into trailers or racks.

- Complete all prescribed quality checks in a timely and correct manner.

**What You'll Do as Truck Driver Heavy:**
+ Operates 4 ton and above truck.
+ Conduct daily inspections on vehicles before, during and after operation and annotates findings on appropriate forms.
+ Maintain satisfactory truck operability with regular fueling, cleaning, inspecting and reporting of problems to the Lead Driver and Project Manager.
+ Load inventory pallets, materials and singular inventory items onto trucks and trailers using forklifts and manual methods.
+ Inspect loads to ensure lack of movement and safe placement of inventory.
+ Deliver inventory to customer sites and/or other delivery destinations, using verbal and/or written driving directions.
+ Follow all local, state and federal rules governing road and highway traffic (speed limits, etc.). Report all personal traffic citations to supervisor immediately upon receipt.
+ Perform warehouse functions including receiving, storing, moving and shipping inventory using Material Handling Equipment (pallet jacks and forklifts).
+ In handling unusual non-routine problems, receives specific guidance from supervisor or other officials.
+ Report all accidents/incidents to Supervisor.
+ Performs other associated duties as assigned.

**What You'll Need:**
+ Requires High school diploma or equivalent.
+ One (1) or more years' experience operating 4 ton and above truck and trailer combination including ability to turn, back and brake, including loading/unloading equipment.
+ Working knowledge of Navy Supply Operating System (ERP).
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:**
+ OSHA certified forklift operator.
+ Ability to utilize normal material handling equipment (MHE) to include pallet jacks, VIDMAR systems and forklifts.
+ Knowledge of methods, materials and equipment used in the various areas of assignment; use of hand and power tools in the construction, electrical, mechanical, carpentry, masonry, welding and plumbing trades; general construction and landscape construction codes; safety practices and procedures.
+ Ability to plan, direct, train, oversee and perform skilled maintenance, construction, and repair work in the assigned area; use and maintain common hand tools, small power equipment and other facility equipment.
+ Mathematical skills to compute measurements.
