This will include individual exercise consults, group education classes, pre and post fitness assessments, and supervised training sessions. Complete SAMHSA assessments (e.g., GPRA, TRAC, SPARS), PHQ-9, GAD-7, CAGE-AID, DAST, and AUDIT, as needed. Provide education and training on mental health issues and evidenced-based practices. Balance and take care of oneself while meeting the demands of his/her employment. Perform counseling in English, Spanish, and/or Haitian-Creole, as needed (fluency required). Create and modify documents for activities, and prepares reports as required by the program. Support staff in assigned project-based work. Work effectively as part of a team with shared goal of providing quality services to Borinquen clients. The Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPA's) will be performing therapies, recording the notes of each visit, and following up with their patients; The SLPA will be empowered to build their schedule with a Supervisor, and maintain it consistently; The SLPA will be given the tools (software/program) to facilitate the secretarial needs of their schedules (i.e., confirming appointments), and will be expected to have computer and smartphone literacy for this reason; Some traveling can be expected, as we also offer services not only at our offices but at the daycare centers and schools in the surrounding areas; The SLPA will meet with their Supervisor at least once a month and work on therapy strategies.
