Job Summary: An equipment operator performs the hands-on aspect of using equipment and applying mechanical skill sets to operate a variety of machinery. These machines may include: scrapers, bulldozers, motor graders, front-end loaders, backhoes, paving machines, rollers, broom tractors, transfer vehicles, trackhoes, and off-road dump trucks. Assignment to this position presumes the operation of such equipment as a regular assignment. Operators may assist in loading and unloading of trucks and using hand tools as related to the project. May function as a lead worker, on a limited basis. The Mechanic II is a mid-level role responsible for performing inspections, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and moderately complex repairs on heavy-duty trucks, construction equipment, and other company vehicles. This position requires greater independence than Mechanic I and the ability to handle a wider range of repairs with minimal supervision. The Mechanic II also assists in training junior mechanics and ensuring that all work meets company, DOT, and OSHA standards. Key Duties & Responsibilities * Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing of vehicles and equipment, including oil changes, lubrication, filter replacements, and system inspections. * * Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues. * * Replace or repair defective parts such as brakes, clutches, hydraulic hoses, cylinders, bearings, and belts. * * Conduct DOT inspections and ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements. * * Use diagnostic tools and service manuals to identify problems and recommend solutions. * * Perform minor welding, cutting, and fabrication when needed. * * Assist in overhauls of major components such as engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems under guidance from senior mechanics. * * Maintain detailed maintenance and repair records for all serviced equipment. * * Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and work areas. * * Follow all company safety policies and procedures and correct unsafe practices immediately. * Provide guidance and support to Mechanic I personnel and assist in their development.

Job Summary: A Pipe Layer is responsible for laying and joining concrete, plastic, or cast-iron pipe for drains, sewers, and water mains. This includes rigging pipe for hoisting, setting pipe to grade and affixing the pipe joint. Prepare and grade the trenches either manually or by communicating with onsite equipment operators. The Pipe Layer position requires manual labor as well as assisting other crew members as necessary with hands-on work.

It is imperative that this position follows all safety procedures as our asphalt plants contain dangerous equipment and terrain which may pose potential hazards. Duties/Responsibilities: * Clean rubble, debris and remove waste materials. * Must be able to operate a variety of hand and power tools. * Load and unload trucks and haul/hoist materials. * Shovel bituminous concrete (asphalt) into construction area. * Maintain clean jobsite daily. * Ability to work independently and complete daily tasks according to work schedule. * Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials. * Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time. * Perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. * Must be able to work overtime, nights and/or weekends (if needed). * Any and all other task as assigned.
