Regional OTR CDL Drivers (4-6 days out) Kearney based no-touch CDL position that will generally be out 4-6 days, possibly 10 days. Back 1-2 days, and repeat. Drivers will have a sleeper cab that is governed at 70 mpg and are paid by the mile, $.63, with an average of 2k - 3k miles per week, plus will be eligible for Detention and Layover pay. Will receive a per diem of $40 per overnight stay (taxable) and be eligible for paid time off and holiday pay at the rate of 8 hours per day using the average gross pay of the prior two pay periods. Skill in acquiring this information from printed materials, books, resource people, Land Surveying/GIS/Civil Engineering Technology associations, or the Internet is necessary. * Will conduct classroom and laboratory sessions for the clock hours described by the course descriptions for all classes assigned to teach. * Participate in the development and implementation of College recruiting activities designed to attract students to a Land Surveying/GIS/Civil Engineering Technology career. * Participate as a cooperative team member of the Land Surveying/GIS/Civil Engineering Technology faculty, working together to strengthen the program, respond to the needs of industry for the preparation of student workers, and to demonstrate the need for students to develop a positive work ethic for successful employment. * Ability to stand for a two (2) hour period of time. * Ability to lift and carry up to (50) fifty pounds for short distances, and move tables, chairs, and media equipment. * Ability to communicate effectively both in writing, in person, and on the phone. * Ability to use basic computer skills. * The individual must possess the above skills and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that the individual can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities. Minimum Qualifications * Associate's Degree in Land Surveying or Civil Engineering Technology and/or Bachelor's Degree in a related field. * Tested experience by examination* during the interview process. * Examination will include knowledge and/or physical demonstration of competencies related to s CAD, UAVs, and data processing, and practical and applicational knowledge related to the site survey and submission process. * Relevant certifications that may substitute for test experience would include but are not limited to state surveyor licensure and/or Part 107 certification. Desired Qualifications * Two-years of work experience related to Land Surveying or Civil Engineering Technology. * Teaching experience in online, hybrid format, flipped classroom, and progressive experience in utilizing technology in curriculum development and delivery. * Teaching experience at the Post-Secondary Level. * Licensed in land surveying for the state of Nebraska. Salary $56,100 per year Benefits SCC BEN Dollars - Eligible Employees: Full-time status. Regular employees with an FTE of 0.75 or greater will be eligible for SCC Ben Dollars. All employees will be required to elect a health insurance option. If the cost of insurance coverage selected by an employee exceeds the SCC Ben Dollars available, all additional costs will be withheld from the employee's paycheck. Any SCC Ben Dollars that the employee does not elect to use for the purchase of dependent health and dental insurance will be paid to the employee in cash at $0.93 per $1.00 benefit dollar. All amounts paid are subject to withholding for income and employment taxes, but not subject to the College's contribution toward the Retirement Savings Plan - Group Retirement Account (GRA). Schedule This is a full-time regular position with an implied 40-hour work week, based on a 175-day work calendar. Teaching assignments for this position are scheduled and approved by the College, between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday based on the instructional work calendar. Scheduled special activities, emergencies, or temporary schedule changes may require hours outside of the regular workday or workweek.
