Is in attendance with the patients at all times while undergoing hyperbaric oxygen therapy. In collaboration with the patients nursing case manager and hyperbaric physician ensures all necessary medical clearances and paperwork are complete before the first treatment is taken. Assists in the delivery of patient care appropriate to the level of his/her medical training. May also be responsible for daily patient data entry into wound management database and monthly reports. Collaborates with the Wound Clinic on all patient matters and facilitates the continuum of care throughout the system. May be requested to assist with care in the wound clinic on a limited basis. While in the Wound clinic, provides and documents care to patients under the direction of the RN, ensuring a safe, comfortable and confidential environment. Inputs order entry. Ensures that supply cabinets are stocked and that supplies are ordered in a timely manner for the Wound Clinic and Hyperbarics. Maintains and is responsible for clinic equipment inventory.
