The program works with 14 school districts to improve academic achievement, increase high school graduation and college enrollment rates, and prepare students for success in postsecondary education through mentoring, academic support, STEM initiatives, and family engagement. The GEAR UP Partnership Coordinator supports implementation of the GEAR UP Longwood program across 14 school districts. This position serves as the primary link between Longwood University and its local education agency (LEA) partners, ensuring the effective coordination of student, family, and school-based activities. The Coordinator works closely with district coordinators, educators, and families to enhance college and career readiness for students from low-income and rural communities. This position would require some travel to partnering school divisions, typically not overnight. This position is eligible for a flexible telework work schedule but will require time on Longwood campus to a varying degree each month, depending on current projects. Service Technician - Multiple Locations About the Role We're looking for Service Technicians to join our team and help deliver safe, reliable propane services to our customers. This role is hands-on and customer-facing - you'll be setting propane tanks, installing gas lines, performing leak and pressure tests, and troubleshooting gas-burning appliances. What You'll Do Deliver, set, and install propane tanks and gas lines in compliance with all codes and safety standards. Drive and operate company service vehicles, including vans and boom trucks. Conduct leak and pressure tests to ensure system safety. Troubleshoot and repair gas-burning appliances. Complete compliance paperwork, gas check forms, and work orders. Educate new customers with propane safety packets and walk-throughs. Safely operate trenchers and other equipment for line installation. Train and mentor helpers in job techniques and safety practices. Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle and professional appearance. Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled. Qualifications What We're Looking For Strong customer service skills - able to communicate clearly, respectfully, and professionally with homeowners. The Vehicle Detailer prepares new vehicle and pre-owned vehicles for sale and delivery by washing, vacuuming, and restoring interior, exterior, and under-hood cosmetics. In addition to base-level conditioning, he/she buffs, waxes, shampoos, applies fabric protection, and replaces parts such as wiper blades, headlights, etc. The Detailer informally inspect vehicles for defective parts and/or accessories and drives vehicles (automatic and standard transmission) in and around the lot, as well as to nearby aftermarket shops for specialized work. He/she may need to replace minor parts and accessories, tighten or adjust loose parts, and provide minor touch-up when directed to do so. The ideal candidate for this position has a high school diploma or GED, detailing experience, a general mechanical aptitude, an unrestricted driver's license and a clean driving record, and can drive both automatic and standard transmission vehicles. Fluent English speaking and written communication skills, good time management skills, and professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position.
