As a member of the Global Distribution team, the Business Development Specialist will align with PanAgora's U.S. and International Sales and Consultant Relations groups whose shared objective is to build and deepen relationships with institutional investors. This role participates in all sales-related endeavors through the full cycle of the fundraising process, which includes prospecting, investment and operational due diligence, on-boarding and subsequent client servicing. The Business Development Specialist will be exposed to every facet of the distribution process, and as such, develop the skills necessary to further advance their careers towards becoming a Sales or Consultant Relations professional.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Develop deep knowledge of PanAgora's products, investment strategies, and asset classes, while demonstrating a strong interest in the institutional asset management industry.
Facilitate client engagement by participating in meetings and conference calls with Sales, Consultant Relations, and potential investors.
Serve as an internal point of contact for prospective investor opportunities, coordinating resources across the firm to ensure timely and comprehensive follow-up.
Collaborate with investment teams to organize and maintain high-quality, up-to-date presentation materials that effectively communicate PanAgora's investment capabilities.
Manage investor documentation by using PanAgora systems to complete Requests for Proposal/Information (RFPs/RFIs) and Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs) for prospective investors.
Qualifying prospects; including plan contacts, plan managers, the plan's consultant(s) and other relevant territory information.
Research leads using various PanAgora resources/online subscriptions (e.g. eVestment, Dakota, Simfund) in order to track down and qualify opportunities.
Collaboration with Sales, Consultant Relations and Investment teams on RFPs, finals and onsite meetings.
Competitive analysis of PanAgora investment strategies
Attend prospect meetings as directed by Sales and Consultant Relations - onsite, and virtual meetings.
Coordinate with other PanAgora departments (legal/compliance, client service, IT, investments/trading) as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
