Summary: The Maintenance Technician can perform a wide variety of work to ensure that the facilities and equipment are maintained in a safe and effective working condition. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing work in all operational and Facilities areas, depending upon the immediate needs of the department. While Maintenance Technicians may have developed skills in one or more areas, all are expected to be able to perform general maintenance and repair in all areas of assignment, which may include equipment, motor and conveyor repair and maintenance as well as building maintenance including lighting, electrical and plumbing in any of the distribution centers. Responsibilities Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals, schematics and blueprints. Ability to use electrical diagnostic equipment (to include digital and analog meters, and amp meters for AC/DC testing). Ability to work as a team member by interacting and communicating with co-workers and managers in a collaborative and constructive manner. Works with Supervisor to mentor/develop team and Tech's in training. Work with Vendors aligned to facilities. Ability to multi-task. Ability to change load wheels on power equipment. Ability to troubleshoot and repair low and high voltage controls including fuses, relays, wiring. Maintains building, equipment, shop and storage areas in a clean and orderly condition. Completes work orders for work performed and includes parts and inventory used. Document all work order activities to comply with MP2 requirements, providing documented records of the activities performed. Follow lockout-tag out procedures, confined space procedures, and other safety and environmental procedures and policies as required. Experience working in maintenance in a distribution center setting. Building conveyor maintenance experience required. Qualifications Qualifications & Experience Possession of a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record. Prior maintenance experience with forklifts, conveyors, controls, hydraulics, pneumatics and building maintenance. Electrical experience with high and low voltage, AC and DC. Ability to lift 70 lbs Technical school or training desired. Computer skills navigating email/Microsoft Suite Knowledge of mechanical and electrical drawings. Proven track record of strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting. Welding skill preferred, but not required. Multiple shifts and locations available. Install, replace, repair, clean and maintain all car wash related equipment at the lowest possible cost. Complete scheduled preventative maintenance tasks and service calls as well as site checks and inspections of carwash to ensure optimal operation for stores and customers. Responsible to perform monthly cleaning of in-bay and wash room equipment. Responsibilities: 1. Maintain all equipment and facilities in good working order. Troubleshoot, diagnose issues and make repairs to equipment in carwash according to established procedures to minimize parts usage. 2. Complete scheduled or assigned preventative maintenance or cleanings per scope of work and on schedule. 3. Communicate issues and provide feedback to the Car Was Field Support Manager regarding maintenance issues, facility/equipment opportunities and outside service vendor performance. 4. Utilize maintenance work order system to complete repair calls, close completed calls, enter resolutions for calls and update calls according to company policies and procedures. Complete assigned work by required deadline. Respond to high priority calls according to company guidelines. 5. Maintain company vehicle and adhere to all state/local/federal laws and company policies regarding operation of a motor vehicle. 6. Attend and participate in all work related meetings, scheduled inventories and training classes. Maintain all certifications as required by manufacturers and local/state/federal law. 7. Maintain truck inventory accurately and manage parts inventory according to company policy and procedures. Maintain assigned tolls according to company policy. Qualifications: (Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered) Education • High School Diploma/GED required • Technical / Trade training / Sheetz training preferred Experience • No experience required with skilled trade or apprenticeship completion certificate • Minimum 2-year hands-on training experience in HVAC, electrical, mechanical or a related trade required without a skilled trade or apprenticeship certificate required • Previous car wash maintenance experience preferred. A maintenance technician III is responsible for the installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining of powered equipment, facility, and grounds to provide a safe and productive work environment for all team members, vendors, and visitors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%) Provide prompt professional service to ensure distribution center assets are being maintained, and a safe working environment procured. Capture all associated time and parts into the CMMS program to maintain record keeping integrity for part's inventory and man-hour reporting. Deliver a broad variety of preventative and corrective repair service to all assets of the facility, not limited to the conveyor system, forklift, various power equipment, industrial batteries, dock equipment, racking system, lighting and HVAC. Observe machine systems for proper and safe operation; repair and communicate accordingly. Perform service measures in accordance with vendor specified procedures, adhering to all safety protocols. Prioritize duties based on level of impact and business need. Share experience and teaching of others to develop a stronger team. Meet compliance with lock out / tag out (LOTO) and Arc Flash guidelines at all times. Perform other general maintenance tasks as assigned.
