Large Northbrook based automotive manufacturer specializing in CNC and multi-spindle precision machining is seeking an Experienced CNC Maintenance Technician.
The Maintenance Technician performs preventative maintenance and repairs on all plant equipment. Performs routine facilities maintenance.
Duties
Maintain plant machinery and equipment following a preventive maintenance schedule in order to keep equipment functioning at maximum efficiency and reliability
Analyze and trouble-shoot equipment problems as they occur
Make recommendations to improve quality, efficiency, safety, or communication
Make enhancements to equipment in collaboration with Engineering, Maintenance and Production Managers
Update equipment maintenance log promptly and accurately so records are complete and available for each piece of equipment
Maintain tool room to ensure availability of tools, equipment and supplies necessary to perform maintenance functions
Maintain a clean and orderly work area, including routine facilities maintenance. Does not get involved in plumbing or electrical work, but coordinates work by sub-contractors working closely with Maintenance Manager and Production Managers
Follow all safety practices and immediately corrects or reports unsafe or hazardous conditions
Requirements
5+ Years of CNC and manufacturing maintenance
Proficient knowledge of Fanuc and Siemens Controls machinery and equipment maintenance
Familiar with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work
Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) troubleshooting a plus
Able to read and interpret maintenance schedules, technical drawings, machine schematics and troubleshooting manuals
Understands the importance and is diligent with maintaining maintenance logs
Able to climb ladders, stoops, bends and otherwise able to access all areas of machinery and equipment to perform maintenance

The Position:
We are seeking machining finishers to join our Acme team. We have 1st and 2nd shift openings. Typical 1st shift hours are Monday through Friday 6 am-4:30 pm and Typical 2nd shift hours are Monday through Friday 4:20 pm-2:50 am. The position:

Job duties:
-Follow written instructions and read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
-Performs a complex series of progressive machining operations on a diversified line of work to close and exact tolerances and finish specifications.
