Eric Burns is the co-founder and CEO of Panopto, where he is responsible for the growth and management of the North American business and the worldwide product development organization. He has spent his career building massive-scale digital media libraries and innovating in the fields of distance learning, multimedia search, and video streaming. Before founding Panopto, Eric was a senior engineer at Microsoft Corporation. He received his Bachelor of Science from Carnegie Mellon University, where he oversaw the design, development and implementation of digital library and parallel computing platforms.

Dennis Farkos is an experienced early- and growth-stage financial executive with over 20 years of proven ability to drive results through incisive analysis, cross-functional teamwork and timely execution. Most recently, Farkos joined Panopto, to serve as its Chief Financial Officer. Panopto develops award winning video content management software and and was named by Deloitte #61 among the 500 fastest growing technology companies in America.

Prior to joining Panopto, Dennis served as Chief Financial Officer for Carnegie Innovations, a partnership formed with Carnegie Mellon University to commercialize its IP portfolio. One of the successful results of his work with the portfolio was Acrobatiq, which was named the country's #1 edtech venture at ASU-GSV and the first-ever higher-ed investment made by the Gates Foundation.

Dennis also served as Senior Vice President, CFO and Treasurer of Confluence, a leader in financial technology for asset managers. While there, Dennis conceived a predictable, recurring revenue model that allowed Confluence’s revenues to grow rapidly from less than $1m to over $32m annually and enabling the firm to become the recognized global leader in financial data consolidation and automation.

Farkos was instrumental in one of the largest high-tech private equity transactions in Pittsburgh during the last decade when Confluence secured a $114 million valuation during its 2006 recapitalization by Polaris Ventures. As a result of his efforts on this transaction and in the years leading up to it, Farkos was voted 2006 CFO of the Year by the Pittsburgh Business Times.

Farkos holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Economics from Allegheny College.
