The company reaches more than 10 million students in the United States. Panorama Education is located in Downtown Crossing in Boston, Massachusetts, on School Street above the Walgreens.     As an example of what you might expect from the different teams with Panorama Education, Panoramians on the Teaching and Learning team focus specifically on designing learning experiences and resources. These tools help educators and school leaders understand data better to figure out how students learn differently at school.

    In order to become the best team around, the company really focuses on finding the right fit when it comes to new hires. These new hires are selected after a set of interviews that highlight each candidate's skills. "For our engineers, we want to see that they can design and write code to solve technical problems systematically," said Engineering Manager Jess Sartin. "We also want to see that they work collaboratively to solve problems, are highly motivated and can learn from Panoramians around them."

    As important it is to hire great people, the company believes it's equally as important to reward employees who are already part of the team in order to really shine. That's why every week after the engineering team meeting, team members are able to recognize other colleagues for their accomplishments with what Panoramians call "High-Fives."

    "Personally, I see it as a time to appreciate my fellow engineers and to thank them for all the work they're doing," said Christina Stewart, Engineer. "It's also cool to hear about engineers that I don't work with on a day-to-day basis."

    A culture of respect has been established at Panorama Education, especially with the engineering team being 35% female. Due to the diverse and inclusive culture at Panorama Education, every team member shares responsibility and every voice is heard. In addition, every employee has an opportunity to make decisions that directly change or impact the company and its product. As an example, Engineer Jess Sartin said the team she's on now hasn't always been a part of the company.

    "The squad I'm apart of was created around the time I started about because a teammate noticed there was a need to focus full time on solving a particular problem," she said. "This wasn't an executive decision; it was an engineering decision -- I appreciate that level of autonomy and trust."

    Work-life balance at Panorama Education isn't just something they say to get you in the door. The company is really good about ensuring you have enough time for family, hobbies and social activities outside of work. Especially with unlimited vacation that you're encouraged to take advantage of, you'll have plenty of time to recharge your batteries.

    If you need some extra time in the morning to take your kids to the doctor or visit them at school, all you have to do is give a heads up and then you'll be able to take care of all your responsibilities. It's understood that our children are the most important part of our lives," said Mitch Peabody, Engineering Manager. "The nurturing of children is a deeply held value at Panorama."

    The importance Panorama Education places on children and family really shines in the parental leave benefit. New mothers are encouraged to take 14 paid weeks, but can take longer without pay if they need to. And to help you ease back into work, you can come back with a 3-day work-from-home schedule until you're ready to come in for a full week.

    "As a new mom, I felt so fortunate to have four months to bond with my son, and my flexible work schedule has allowed me to strike a real work-life balance," said Danielle Farina, Head of Recruitment.
