Papa Murphy's is a take-n-bake pizza place that also sells cookie dough salads and soda. Every job has its ups and downs, but yes for the most part I like my job. We get a wide range of customers, each with their own personality. I would say that the majority of them are nice people. Thanks for the apron comment, and we actually do not deliver. You can find more info about Papa Murphy's at www.papamurphys.com
Yes sometime it can get really busy. It seems like everyone comes in at once. Usually around 5 we get a rush the it dies down around 7. A pizza style always comes down to what the customer prefers, whether its thin crust, deep dish, etc. I also think that some customers avoid certain pizza places that messed up their order or have bad customer service. Great customer service works wonders, trust me. We always try to say "hello" to customers who walk it and to start small talk with them. This builds loyal customers. For example one of the customers once bought all of us individual pieces of candy for christmas, it was really nice of her.
Well I loved it for the first year I was there but then this *** started working there and he changed everyone's happy attitude. He was poison. Turned all the guys against the girls. Just made everyone pissy and annoyed and filled with piss and vinegar. Our scores dropped for weeeeeeks after he started(as in either last or in the middle on our surveys). This past month he went to Michigan for an entire month. Guess who was the #1 score? We were. But I digress. If he wasn't there I usually loved it, but there was a lot of unfairness. The regulars were generally awesome. But I quit last Sunday cause I leave for the navy in 12 days.
We get everything in the store for half off except soda, but sometimes if a pizza is messed up or something like a cheesy bread expires before it is bought, some *higher positioned employees let you take them home for free. As for my favorite pizza chain, I can't say for sure. I haven't really had pizza besides Papa Murphy's in a while, but I really do like their pizza. I did have Rocky Rococo's recently, and that was pretty good, probably a little better than Papa Murphy's. EDIT: *
flexible schedule, friendly environment
having no manager, new owner transition
my favorite perks are you can eat anything that you want, the schedule was pretty flexible and the new owners gave you everything you needed
They always showed us how to do things if we didn't know, and always came to check on us and gave us good tips
Maybe have more professional store Managers
I used Indeed.com and always had a smile on my face and talked about spending time with my son Jacob
The representation was awesome.
My experience was a very good experience, and got me out of my comfort zone and gave me more responsibilities, and they pushed me to be a better manager
Seeing customer satisfaction and our business scores went up in every category
Very welcoming asking for help you don't get dirty when asking questions like you should already know them if you're new overall just a very friendly family like environment
Honestly just how small the store is can be a pain sometimes but overall it's really great
You can take as many 5-minute breaks as you need during your shift
How great the customers are and to work for great employees
when their wasn’t enough help / manager
Good employees & management
Busy days
Getting half off on the pizzas, sodas, and desserts
Everyone is extremely friendly and if I didn’t know someone I find out who they were very quickly.
The fact that it is a small place and I do the same thing everyday, and it’s always prep work and I don’t get a lot of interaction with customers.
Probably has to be paid time off, it’s very nice to be able to have worked at a place for enough time to know you can take a vacation while being paid haha.
The atmosphere and people I worked with were great. Management was wonderful about working with employee's schedules.
The routine of everything became mundane, I wanted to feel like my work had meaning.
The food.
Money and time management learning, accomplishing goals with coworkers.
Customer service can be a challenge.
Creating the employee schedule, scheduling myself.
The people, team members and the customers.
As minimum wage went up, labor goals stayed the same. Same amount of work with less and less people every year. All of the people that knew what they were doing quit because other opportunities were offering more pay.
There is a 50% employee discount.
Its an easy and fast based job
slow periods of the year
flexiable scedule and weekends off
Typically a decent and enjoyable environment. Fun co workers.
Under staffed, not great management of the store.
Half off everything and occasional free pizza or AOS!
Have not worked at any other pizza places but i have worked at a few other fastfood. And i like papa Murphy's better. We get payed more for an easyer job with a better environment.
My girlfrend works with me and my bestfriend got me the job so ye.
50% off and a free pizza a day if your managment or higher.
Yes i would like too
We have a barber shop we trade 50% discounts with next door
Okay. Most of them are stonners.
Like any job, it has it's ups and downs, but overall I would say that it's a good job. Especially for a high school or college student. Where your friend's dad's Papa Murphy's? The one I work at is in a town of about 20,000 people so it doesn't get as busy as one that's in a big city.

You start at minimum-wage.

Like 1/3 of our customers use it. Before I started working there I was not racist at all. Now...the stereotypes are just so accurate and it's hard to stay unbiased. I do my best to not judge people on welfare. Black or white or Latino. But it's just really hard after a while. It's a reason I don't like the job.
It's really just something that stays in your brain. What was your pay? And how big was your store? If you don't mind my asking. Just comparing.
