PCMC company history timeline

1919

Since our humble beginnings in 1919 as Bay City Machine Company, PCMC has grown into a dynamic and global machine manufacturer today.

1946

In 1946, L.G. Wood became president, and he successfully led the company through our expansion into Europe, the opening of our present-day headquarters and our entry into the flexographic printing and nonwovens industries.

1979

By August 10, 1979, P.D. 1631 created the hospital known as Lungsod ng Kabataan.

The theme of the International Year of the Child in 1979, “Mankind owes to the child the best it has to give” inspired the concept and the impetus to provide to children a tertiary institution for expert health care.

1980

On June 23, 1980, under then the Minister of Human Settlements, First Lady Imelda R. Marcos, the hospital first opened its doors to commence delivering expert healthcare to children.
