A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:
Will assess the patient and plan care within set timeframes and document findings according to policies
Will monitor patient for change of condition and respond accordingly up to and including notification of the physician
RN will follow hospital policy for medication administration

What we're looking for
Applicants should have a current state RN license, Associates degree from an accredited nursing school. Other requirements include:
21 years of age or older
CPR and De-escalation certification required or obtain within 30 days of hire
Previous experience in psychiatric health care facility with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric and geriatric patients preferred
Experience in patient assessments, family motivations, treatment planning and communication with external review organizations or comparable entities

Purpose Statement
The job School Registered Nurse is done for the purpose/s of providing the maximum educational opportunity for each student by creating a climate of good health and wellbeing through education, screenings, nursing assessment and medical attention
Essential Functions
* Responsible for assuring immunization compliance and disease surveillance.
* Maintains all records containing health information in an organized and confidential fashion.
* Responsible for vision and hearing screenings to meet State Law.
* Responsible for day to day Health Office activities including first aid, medication dispensing, nursing assessment, nursing tasks (catheterization, gastrostomy tube medications, tube feedings, SVN treatments as required) and other typical RN duties.
* Responsible for training staff on emergency healthcare procedures for the purpose of ensuring that procedures are performed in compliance with state law.
* Responsible for maintaining all documentation both written and within a Health Information System.
* Assists the campus in all reports of suspected child abuse for the purpose of ensuring compliance with all related requirements of the law and provides an annual training on DCS reporting procedures.
* Work with the IEP and 504 teams to provide an optimal educational environment for medically fragile students.
* Keeps an organized and efficient Health Office.
* Participate on behavioral health teams, crisis and safety teams as a member of the campus team., and provide faculty training on Bloodborne Pathogen and other areas of health concern.
* Implementation of health services in accordance with legally and professionally recognized nursing practice within the limits and policies of the school district and the Arizona Board of Nursing.
* Collaborates with parents/guardians, students, health care providers, and/or other agencies for the purpose of promoting needed treatment, securing information and complying with legal requirements.
* Designs Health Care Plans for the purpose of addressing students' health needs and implementing health care directions from parents and/or physicians. This includes emergency plans as well as transportation health care plans which may be necessary depending upon the students needs.
* Must be able to lift 50 pounds without restrictions.

Experience, Education, and Certifications
Experience: Prefer at least two years of clinical RN experience. Pediatric and/or School Nurse experience desired.
Education: Associate or Bachelor degree from an accredited educational institution.
Certifications/Clearances: RN License in Good Standing. National School Nurse Certification (Recommended). Evidence of Hepatitis B Series. Must possess a valid Arizona DPS Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card while employed.

TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit (PCU) to deliver high-quality nursing care to patients who are transitioning from critical care but still require close monitoring. The ideal candidate will have strong assessment skills and clinical judgment to support patients with complex medical needs.
Job Responsibilities
Monitor patients with moderate to high acuity needs, including cardiac, respiratory, and post-surgical conditions.
Interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry readings and respond appropriately to changes.
Administer medications, fluids, and treatments as ordered by physicians.
Coordinate patient care with the interdisciplinary team, ensuring effective communication and continuity of care.
Document patient assessments, interventions, responses, and care plans accurately and timely.
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
Assist in the implementation of emergency interventions and respond promptly to deteriorating conditions.
Qualifications
Active RN license in good standing.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in PCU, telemetry, or acute care nursing.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
Familiarity with telemetry equipment and intermediate-level patient care protocols.
