Duties and Responsibilities
Assist attorneys in providing excellent client service
Create and maintain files in both hard copy and electronic formats
Prepare for and coordinate litigation proceedings, monitor litigation caseload, and assist with pre-trial discovery and trial preparation.
Manage litigation holds, document reviews, and document production

The Position
This exciting role offers growth and learning opportunities for a motivated self-starter with defense litigation experience who is seeking to advance their paralegal career.
Key Responsibilities:
Retrieve all records from client to analyze and itemize type of records, identify timeline of events and completeness of records given residency period for facility chart
Assist the attorney in responding to discovery demands
Prepare, submit, and follow up on HIPAA compliant authorizations and record requests
Thoroughly review and summarize complex medical records, identifying key medical issues, and creating chronologies of treatment
Identify and retain potential medical expert witnesses, scheduling consultations, IME's, and preparing them for depositions and trial
Assist with motions, exhibit preparation, deposition preparation and trial preparation
Review transcripts to identify any potential facilities or treating physicians to subpoena
Qualifications
Must have a bachelor's degree; Paralegal Certificate is a plus
2+ years of litigation experience
Medical malpractice defense experience required
Strong written and verbal communication skills
