Trusts & Estates Legal Secretary - Cleveland, OH
Tucker Ellis LLP is seeking an experienced Trusts & Estates Legal Secretary to join our Cleveland office. This role is fully onsite, five days per week, and will provide direct administrative and practice support to attorneys in our Trusts & Estates group.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to attorneys handling trusts & estates matters, including calendar management, scheduling, and document preparation
Prepare, edit, and proofread correspondence, legal documents, and estate planning materials such as wills, trusts, and powers of attorney
Assist with probate and trust administration by organizing files, maintaining case documentation, and preparing routine court forms and filings
Manage client files (electronic and paper), including opening new matters, maintaining organization, and archiving closed files
Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, and outside professionals, ensuring timely follow-up on requests and deadlines
Coordinate signing meetings, notarizations, and document execution for estate planning matters
Enter attorney time, process billing, and assist with client engagement letters and related administrative tasks
Key Qualifications:
A minimum of three years of experience as a legal secretary or legal assistant, preferably in trusts & estates or probate
Familiarity with estate planning documents and probate procedures strongly preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and document management systems
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-through in a deadline-driven environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact directly with clients
Ability to work onsite in our Cleveland office five days per week
