JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Shriver Program Manager, the Shriver Paralegal is a full-time position, based primarily at Public Counsel's main office at 610 S. Ardmore. The position may involve some off-site work in other parts of Los Angeles County for client home visits and assistance in court.
The Paralegal will work in Public Counsel's Shriver Housing Project team within the Homelessness Prevention Law Project. The Shriver Housing Project is a pilot project authorized under the Shriver Civil Counsel Act (AB 590) to demonstrate the benefits of providing counsel to litigants in high-stakes civil litigation such as the possible loss of housing. Although not a pure civil Gideon project, the Shriver Housing Project assists thousands of low-income litigants in unlawful detainer (eviction) actions each year. Public Counsel's Shriver team provides full-scope eviction defense representation to tenants whose cases are filed at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse in downtown Los Angeles. The team also provides some limited counsel and advice to tenants with other housing issues.
The Paralegal will support the work of the Shriver team attorneys in collaboration with the Shriver Program Manager, Supervising Staff Attorney, and other members of the team.
This is a full-time position that will involve the full breadth of civil litigation activities, administrative work, grant reporting, meeting with clients, and assisting with trial preparation. The position has the following responsibilities:
Serve as supporting Paralegal on Shriver eviction cases, which includes:
Preparing electronic case files and setting up intake appointments

Hawkins Parnell & Young LLP is seeking a well-rounded, highly motivated toxic tort litigation paralegal with 2-5 years of experience for its San Francisco, CA office. The successful candidate must have strong academic credentials and willingness to learn from a dedicated and successful litigation team. This opportunity offers a broad experience base to talented paralegals who wish to join a success driven, vibrant team. Recent graduates of Paralegal programs are encouraged to apply. Salary range is $75,000-80,000 per year.
HPY represents a variety of clients from global corporations to small local businesses and individual clients in high-risk litigation and business disputes across the country and U.S. Territories. The successful candidate will be a part of a national team of 300 lawyers and professional staff spread across offices located in Atlanta, Buffalo, Charleston, Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, Los Angeles, Napa, New York, Orange County, Raleigh, St. Louis, San Diego, San Francisco and West Virginia.

What Our Paralegals Do:
Case management involving maintaining document control, calendaring docket deadlines and coordination and monitoring of local counsel
Preparation and organization of a variety of documents, forms, charts, letters, etc.
Deposition and record review and summaries
Preparation for depositions, and preparing attorneys for depositions in advance
Preparation for hearings
Document production
Draft discovery documents
Request documents and records
What You Need To Bring:
2-5 years of experience and/or paralegal certificate
Toxic tort litigation experience
Demonstrated initiative and self-direction
Demonstrated attention to detail
Strong Outlook skills and proficient in MS Office suite including Word and Excel

Hall & Evans, LLC, is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal for Idaho. Candidates should have excellent MS Office skills, well-developed communication abilities, effectively managing multiple projects, and strong attention to detail.
This position is currently fully remote and reports to our Missoula office.
Requirements
Civil litigation with a defense firm, preferred;
Idaho civil litigation experience, preferred;
Obtain, review and analyze medical, financial, tax, and employment records, or any other relevant documents and records;
Prepare medical record summaries;
Draft pleadings, discovery, and routine correspondence;
Experience billing time;
Well-developed writing and research skills;
Intermediate to advanced skill level in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook;
Ability to stay focused on numerous details while maintaining a high level of accuracy;
Anticipating attorney's needs, identifying problems, and finding solutions;
Ability to work with limited supervision, independently or with a team;
Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with a wide variety of people;
Ability to exercise a high degree of tact, discretion, and sound judgment;
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize a high-volume workload to meet time-critical deadlines;
