Our client is looking for an experienced, career-track litigation paralegal with substantial work experience in AmLaw 100 firms or specialized boutique law firms who will contribute as lead paralegal on large, complex cases and provide instruction and informal mentorship to junior paralegals at the Firm.
Responsibilities
Perform all elements of litigation case management, including file management, discovery, and trial activities.
Implement case calendaring system to track filings and appropriately distribute information.
Utilize existing systems and procedures and/or establish new procedures to facilitate the organization and retrieval of documents by and for the attorneys on the case team.

Qualifications
BS/BA from an accredited college or university required.

Position Summary:
As a Senior Paralegal, you will be responsible for managing complex legal cases, conducting legal research, drafting and analyzing documents, and providing critical support to attorneys in high-net-worth family law proceedings. You will also ensure compliance with company protocols and assist in representing clients before administrative agencies when permitted.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Billable Hours: Accurately meet billable requirements, entering all billable time by 9:00 AM Monday for the prior week.
Case Management: Oversee case development, ensuring all legal protocols are followed (Case Review, Court Prep, Strategy Session memo).
Legal Research & Drafting: Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft documents such as pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
Client & Attorney Communication: Document client and opposing counsel calls, ensuring attorney responses within 48 hours of receipt.
Courtroom Preparation: Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings and trials by organizing trial binders, witness lists, exhibit lists, and ensuring timely service of documents.
Client Interaction: Communicate with clients regularly to gather information, provide updates, and answer questions.
Billing and Trust Accounts: Assist billing in requesting trust account replenishments and ensure accurate financial tracking for clients.
Compliance & Reporting: Adhere to Seabrook Law protocols, reporting any potential malpractice claims or BAR complaints to the owner immediately.
Other Duties: Ensure witness preparation for case parties and experts before hearings, document phone calls, and manage attorney calendars and deadlines.
Qualifications:
Education:
Certificate of completion of an ABA-approved paralegal program, OR
Degree with 24 law-related units from an accredited institution, OR
High school diploma/GED with a minimum of three years of law-related experience under the supervision of a California attorney.
Certifications: Paralegal certification preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in family law, with at least five (5) years in high-net-worth family law cases.
Familiarity with courts in Santa Clara or Alameda counties preferred.
