About the Role
The Paralegal I - Litigation is an integral part of Latham's Legal Professional and Paralegal team and will be responsible for performing legal tasks and providing various administrative support to attorneys and other supervising paralegals, while coordinating the work of support departments, attorney support team members, and junior paralegals to retrieve, assemble, and organize documents for review by supervisors. This role will be located in either our Orange County or San Diego office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Other key responsibilities include:
Coordinating and assisting in the discovery process including gathering, reviewing, and analyzing documents for production, with guidance of an attorney or senior paralegal, and managing and utilizing e-discovery platforms.
Assisting with the preparation of legal documents including pleadings, motions, and exhibits, discovery requests/responses, and correspondence in accordance with court rules and deadlines
Assisting in preparing witnesses for deposition, internal client investigations, and assisting attorneys with client interviews by assembling witness binders, containing interview memos, digests, and relevant documents
