What You'll Do:
Your day will be spent performing a range of substantive case, matter, or entity-related duties by supporting efforts between attorneys, clients, outside legal counsel, opposing legal counsel, and other parties. This will include developing, monitoring, and updating closing and other books and other documents. You will also be responsible for researching, preparing, and filing legal UCC Financing Statements, Articles of Incorporation/Organization, annual reports, managing data rooms, and matter files, coordinating execution and delivery of documentation to other parties' counsel, lenders, governmental agencies, etc., including all closing documentation. Your Role: Key Responsibilities
Apply legal knowledge gained through formal paralegal training
Work with California and Federal laws, including court procedures and e-filing
Prepare, file, and serve legal documents such as complaints, motions, discovery, and subpoenas
Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and preparing trial binders
Review and summarize case files, deposition transcripts, and discovery responses
Draft clear, professional legal correspondence and documentation
Manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Handle a high-volume caseload with accuracy and attention to detail
Communicate effectively with attorneys, courts, clients, and staff
Use Microsoft Office proficiently
Follow established procedures with accuracy and consistency
Qualifications
1-3 years of civil litigation experience preferred
Paralegal certificate preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with California court systems is a plus
Must be 18 years or older
Must pass a background and drug test
