About the Firm
A respected civil litigation firm in Boca Raton is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join its in-office team. The firm represents clients across a variety of complex litigation matters, including elder abuse and nursing home negligence cases, and maintains a strong reputation for integrity, advocacy, and results.
We are hiring two paralegals who will be trained together and then assigned to separate pods, each supporting a team of three attorneys. The ideal candidate will have at least five (5) years of civil litigation experience in Florida and be comfortable managing multiple cases in a collaborative, detail-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and respond to discovery requests.
Draft complaints, initial disclosures, and related pleadings.
Provide regular case updates to clients and maintain accurate case files.
Prepare witness lists, exhibit lists, and jury verdict forms.
Coordinate with expert witnesses, including sending medical records and supporting documentation.
Work closely with assigned attorneys to support case preparation, filings, and deadlines.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience as a paralegal in Florida civil litigation.
Strong understanding of Florida Rules of Civil Procedure.
Excellent drafting, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficiency with standard legal software and document management systems.
Ability to work in-office full time in Boca Raton.

OVERVIEW

RESPONSIBILITIES
Represents clients within the entire CLS service area which may require frequent travel throughout the Service Area.
Determines client eligibility for legal services in accordance with program policies and procedures.
Gathers information, interviews clients and witnesses; investigates and develops cases; prepares written reports to attorneys detailing the results of the investigation.
Makes and follows up on referrals of clients to appropriate alternative or additional sources of assistance.
Works jointly in partnership with supervising attorney on assigned cases.
Represents clients at administrative hearings within the guidelines governing advocacy by non-attorneys.
Maintains accurate, complete, well-organized case/project records and files.
Performs legal research including use of computer-based databases, e.g., Lexis and computerized practice Software.
Participates in outreach to clients and community groups.

Keeps abreast of new areas of the law, particularly as it affects low-income persons.

REQUIREMENTS
