We're looking for Emergency Room RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Philadelphia, PA. The right RN should have 1-2 years recent acute care experience. Read below for more requirements. As an ER Travel Nurse, you will work with a diverse team of caregivers to appropriately evaluate, triage and implement care using correct procedures and physician instructions. RNs should have experience and skill caring for patients in a fast-paced, urgent and emergency environment.
Emergency Room RNs will perform minor medical operations, advise patients and family on illnesses or injuries, and plan long-term care needs. Other responsibilities as an ER Travel Nurse include documenting medical history, checking for any allergies patients might have, obtaining patient vital signs, and monitoring patients' emotional and physical well-being.
As an ER Travel Nurse, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:
Provide basic bedside care.
Clean and bandage wounds.
Provide IV therapy.
Maintain supplies and medical equipment.
Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.
ER Travel Nurses should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty. RNs should be able to easily lift 20 pounds. Moving or lifting of patients may require lifting of up to 50 pounds at times. Because of the fast-paced environment, Emergency Room RNs must possess good skills for coping with stress and be able to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.

Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with your fellow EMTs and management to assure top tier patient care.
* Be flexible as emergency services operate on a 24-hour clock - your work shift schedule may vary due to the nature of the business.
* Remain up to date with current standards of care, including equipment functions and uses and all certifications, licenses and registrations.
* Conduct yourself in a courteous, helpful, and professional manner when dealing with patients, co-workers, supervisors, and the public.
* Recognize and treat any medical condition with appropriate techniques, equipment, and knowledge of all State and County protocols.
* Provide top tier medical transport to medical facilities by assuming responsibilities for medical care of the patient and carrying out established policies and procedures.
* Operate and drive the ambulance in accordance with safety policies and laws, showing due regard for all applicable State and Regional Regulations (DMV & DOH)
* Maintain rig cleanliness by stocking the rigs and taking ownership of your space.
* Gather patient billing information and appropriate billing signatures.
* Prepare and submit a pre-hospital patient care report.
* Respond promptly to assignments as required by the Dispatch Center.
* Excellent verbal communication skill
Qualifications:
* NJ State Certification or NREMT (minimum)
* Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record (must have had driver's license for a minimum of 2 years)
* Valid CPR Card for the Health Care Provider
* Must be able to lift, push and pull 125 lbs. or more
* At least 2 years of experience as an EMT (required)
* Experience and comfort driving a box truck (preferred)
* Previous 911 or CCT experience OR experience on an ALS transport vehicle in which you as the EMT were involved in patient care
* Successfully complete Physical Aptitude Test
