SPFR is a contract provider for the Pinellas County EMS system. As such, SPFR provides Advanced Life Support (ALS) first response with up to 27 ALS units throughout the City. SPFR's primary EMS role is the initial response, triage, and treatment of patients experiencing medical emergencies. Patient transport is handled by a third-party service. SPFR also provides EMS coverage for hundreds of special community events throughout the year. This position works 12-hour shifts assigned to an alternating 2/3/2 schedule - 2 days on, 3 days off, 2 days on (week 1) || 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off (week 2).
