We are a community based ambulance service covering the large rural county that is very involved in the community. • We offer a potential for unique schedules allowing for alternating weekly schedules with one week of 2 days on/5 days off, followed by one week of 3 days on/4 days off • Competitive annualized rates $81,900-$89,180 based on working all regularly scheduled shifts. • Additional Allowances like FTO and Advanced Certifications provide an increase. Responsibilities: • Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols. • Utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care. • Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given. • Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed. • Drive the ambulance on 911 responses. • Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics. Select proper firefighting tools and equipment to control and extinguish fires. Use ladders to gain access to assist individuals from affected structures. Perform search and rescue operations.
