    Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Emergency Department Technician at Dignity Health Yavapai Regional Medical Center you will deliver patient care and perform clinical procedures within the scope of your licensure under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and Provider. Every day you will conduct selected diagnostics and procedures, assist with patient transport and lifting, and provide general clerical and cleaning support to the unit. No two days in emergency services are ever the same. You're a multitasker who can react quickly as you'll prioritize patients based on their medical necessity. To be successful in this role you will effectively execute delegated tasks, support unit operations, and contribute to a safe and efficient environment * Assisting in implementing each patient's plan of care by performing common clinical procedures and other tasks within your scope of practice * Assisting with observation of patients gathering data and identifying patient care needs * Responding to emergency situations * Assisting with patient transport and transfer * Assisting with cleaning stocking and maintenance of department equipment and supplies * Adhering to safety and risk management standards * Assisting with clerical and communication tasks to support patient care Scheduled shifts and training will be at Prescott and Prescott Valley Campuses. Job Requirements Required * High School Diploma/GED. * Completion of technician education in a specific area and specialty e.g. EMT-Basic EMT-Paramedic CNA or LNA or PCT (patient care technician). * Completion of Basic EKG class and demonstration of competency in EKG rhythm identification within six months of hire OR previous EKG rhythm identification experience and demonstration of competency within 90 days of hire. * American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider. * Basic computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Windows. * Successful completion of the following within 90 days of hire with the exception of hires who are certified paramedics within the past three years: * YRMC IV Course. * IV insertion competency checklist for adults. * Six (6) successful adult IV insertions performed under the supervision of an RN. Preferred * One year of pre-hospital or Emergency Department experience and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Cerner experience is strongly preferred.
