Under the direction of the Emergency Department director manager, charge nurse, and staff nurses this position requires the ability to be self-directed and encompasses providing direct supportive care to patients by performing designated and/or ordered interventions and procedures within the scope of practice. Additionally, this position incorporates departmental readiness duties including but not limited to stocking, QI testing, verification of operational patient care apparatuses (Suction, O2, etc.). MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred. Experience: The emergency room (ED) technician is an individual with training and/or experience in the area of unlicensed assistive caregiver in the emergency room environment. Knowledge and Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
