MEMS provides coverage around the clock, seven days per week. Most schedules include 12- or 24-hour shifts on a regularly rotating basis; other shift options may also be available.

Accurate hearing ability and vision that can be corrected to 20/40 are required.

The ED RN will assess and monitor a wide array of health conditions and injuries, administer medications, and perform procedures such as moderate sedation, intraosseous and intravascular therapy, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The ED RN must have a mind that is always assessing and triaging patient complaints and conditions with efficiency and accuracy. The ED RN must be skilled in maintaining proper lines of communication with the health care team, patients, and families. The ED RN will routinely evaluate episodic and acute responses to broad classifications of physical and psychosocial conditions, as well as manage the planning and implementation of interventions. Typical Duties:
Provide professional assistance to physician and staff, working as a team to provide quality healthcare to patients.
Maintains responsibilities of injection and diagnostic room functions.
Prepares the injection and diagnostic rooms with the proper equipment and supplies necessary for daily operation.
Maintains a clean and organized work environment.
Prints immunization records daily to the nurses to help prepare the nurses and physicians for any minor aged patients that may have appointments that day.
Provides an abundant number of patients with maintenance injections, post office visit ordered injections (le. antibiotics, steroids, etc.) or post visit diagnostic testing, immunizations and immunization records. Performs diagnostic testing such as vision, audiometry and spirometry and provides the results of those testing to the physicians and nurses. Returns any and all messages and phone calls from staff and patients.
Enters all pertinent injection information into the EMR such as medication, lot and expiration information, date, site and any notes that may apply to the injection or patient.
Conducts urine drug screen collections for our industrial accounts as well as prescription monitoring drug screen collections for the physicians. Sees that the collections are shipped out to the proper processing laboratories. Reports the results in a professional and timely manner to the perspective recipients. Maintains organized and detailed records of urine drug screen chain of custody and requisition forms and the results of those screenings.
Orders and maintains an adequate inventory of vaccines (private, VFC & Schip) and routine medications used daily throughout the clinic.
Vaccine For Children and Schip administrator. Responsible for VFC/Schip vaccine ordering, correct temperature vaccine storage, updating immunizations in the VVebli for all immunizations given for children aged 0 months to 22 years. Prepares for annual audit of the VFC and Schip program within the clinic.
Provides nursing assistance to the physicians, physician's nurses and administration. This includes medication research, research of medication costs, ordering of medications that are atypical in daily clinic use, providing Updated medication and/or vaccine information and pharmacology to the physicians, nurses and staff as well as injection and vaccine guidance and any physical h011that may be requested.
Orchestrates the annual flu vaccine, flu shot forms and necessary paperwork distribution to the nurses and pods to begin the annual clinic flu shot season.
Responsible for all physician and staff annual TB skin test application or OM and reporting of results to HR.
Conforms to the clinic handbook and follows office guidelines set forth in the Policy and Procedure Manuel.
Conveys the clinic purpose to patients, physicians, and staff.
Attends and participates in all in-service, department, and clinic meetings.
Supports management decisions and makes recommendations for improvements.
Co-operates with management, physicians and other staff members
Meets attendance standards.
Performs other duties as assigned by administration.
Requirements
Prerequisites:
Must hold a valid nursing or medical assistant license.
Must be familiar with basic medical office procedures.
Must have a working knowledge of OSHA and HIPPA regulations.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to stand 6-8 hours daily
Must be able to assist a patient standing, walking, and getting on/off exam tables and equipment
