Completes all required hospital and departmental education and competencies in a timely manner. * Operates department vehicles in a safe and lawful manner. Reports to supervisor all traffic violations and other infractions (both on and off the job). Maintains an accident-free record (on the job) during the evaluation period. * Responds without delay to emergencies or in a timely manner to calls for assistance or transportation. Coordinates responses with EMS staff, hospital staff, patients and family, and outside agencies so that transportation and care are provided appropriately. * Documents patient care on the ambulance trip sheet accurately and legibly in accordance with State and department policies. Collects and legibly documents all required paperwork such as information for patient billing or other record keeping purposes. * Inspects assigned vehicle and equipment along with performing other station duties in a timely manner to insure that equipment and supplies are available and in working order so that proper patient care can be delivered.
