We are currently looking for a:
Water Country - EMT Supervisor
Roles & Responsibilities:
EMT Supervisors in the coordination of the park's overall safety, and EMS Response. Ensuring compliance with all local, state, federal standards and all policies/procedures established by Herschend. Supervisors will continuously exemplify quality leadership for the EMS/safety team and provide oversight and accountability. Additional responsibilities include assisting in emergency situations and assisting in the oversight of the seasonal safety department team members and daily operation.
Supervisory Duties:
· Supervise the daily operations of the EMT, First Aid and/or Safety teams
· Lead by example, attitude, and as a representation of Water Country's core values
· Act as an approachable mentor and coach to all assigned team members
· Become knowledgeable of performing the essential duties of all EMT positions and backfill these positions when needed
· Participate in all aspects of supervision of assigned employees, including hiring, training, performance coaching, and discipline.
· Ensure that all required meal and other breaks are being given in accordance with NH law
· Ensure daily sign-in sheets are completed and submitted each day
· Assist with team scheduling and timekeeping activities
Departmental Duties:
· Exemplify and maintain the Total Safety culture and work ethic set by the leadership team
· Maintain SOPs and local protocols
· Assist with accident investigations of guest and employee incidents, as needed.
· Maintain First Aid, Injury & HSE files and ensure accurate documentation while upholding confidentiality
· Provide quality patient care and emergency medical treatment to individuals of all ages in the pre-hospital setting, as per scope of practice by State law and by Medical Director approved protocols
· Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls to provide efficient and immediate care to critically ill and injured persons
· Determine the nature of the illness or injury and administer treatment decisions based on appropriate protocols, techniques, resources, and equipment available to treat the illness or injury
· Examine and evaluate patients to determine necessary care
· Maintain accurate documentation for patient care and condition, for all emergency medical treatments provided
· Ensure EMS call and treatment documentation is sent to the appropriate receiving hospital/medical facility
· Communicate with other healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care and coordination of services
· Assist with routine maintenance, inventory, cleanliness, and readiness of First Aid Office; inspect other equipment for functionality and keep the office organized.
· Maintain a safe, clean and well stocked environment for patients
· Understand and comply with safety and infection control procedures
· Maintain composure under high pressure and emergency situations and delegate as necessary while maintaining communications with Park management
· Assist in maintaining OSHA compliance and documentation in all related areas.
· Oversee and perform inspections at various Park sites to verify compliance with Park safety standards
· Maintain patient confidentiality and perform all care with respect for patient rights
· All other duties assigned by leadership
Education & Experience:
· High School diploma, GED, or equivalent; Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
· 1-2 years of previous field, ambulance and/or hospital work experience in an emergency care setting required.
· Current EMT Certification/License in the state of New Hampshire.
· NREMT Certification preferred.
· Current CPR Certification.
· Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
Requirements:
· Must be at least 18 years of age to comply with NH Labor Laws.
· Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
· Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
· Maintain thorough knowledge of current EMT standards of care, equipment use, and function.
· Practical knowledge of rescue and emergency medical principles, practices, and techniques.
· Practical knowledge of handling bloodborne and/or airborne pathogens.
· Ability to operate park vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
· Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions.
· Ability to maintain composure in a high-stress work environment or emergency.
· Ability to analyze situations quickly and objectively to determine safe and proper courses of action; ability to problem-solve and take initiative.
· Ability to perform invasive advanced medical procedures, per level of certification, during emergencies.
· Ability to file reports using a computer and EMS software.
· Ability to handle confidential information in a sensitive manner.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to stand, walk, stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat or reach above shoulders
· Ability to remain on feet for majority of the workday
· Ability to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 50 pounds or more
· Ability to lift patients of varying weights and sizes
Working Conditions:
· Subject to a variety of stressful emergency situations involving people or property
· Frequent exposure to the variable outside temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain, and other weather conditions
· Subject to bloodborne pathogens; Proper PPE is required in these situations.
· Frequent exposure to constant repetitive motion, high noise levels, flashing lights, vibrations, and heavily populated environments

This nurse position is a full-time year-round salaried mental health position (3- 12-hour days) that provides comprehensive care to individuals ages 14+ in a community setting. Spurwink is opening the first living room crisis model in the state of Maine. Open 24/7, 365 days a year, the center will offer a space for individuals and families to seek crisis support through the use of trained professionals, comprehensive assessments, and coordination with community supports and resources. This is a day shift position.
DUTIES:
Effectively engage, assess, monitor, educate, coordinate, and provide interventions for participants and families to improve quality of care and participant health outcomes.
Provide participant, family/caregiver teaching and education about health and wellness, safety factors, self-management skills, medications, self-monitoring, action plans, long-term planning, when and how to access care.
Conduct in-person sessions with participants in the crisis center.
Participates as a member of a multidisciplinary team, by providing health information related to participant medical history and needs, medications, co-morbidities, immunizations, dietary needs, and the behavioral, social, psychological, and environmental determinants of health.
Maintain expectations related to caseload size, billing, and attestation requirements.
Maintain required records and documentation. Collect, track, and submit participant related data to support evaluation of participant outcomes, program goals and performance.
Other duties deemed appropriate to the position by the Program Director.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a registered nurse, a psychiatric nurse licensed as a registered professional nurse by the state where services are provided and certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a psychiatric and mental health nurse; a PMH-APRN who is licensed as a nurse practitioner or clinical nurse specialist by the state where services are provided, who has graduated from a child and adolescent or adult psychiatric and mental health nurse practitioner or clinical nurse specialist program and is certified by the appropriate national certifying body; or an advanced practice nurse, as defined by the Maine State Board of Nursing. Maintain a current driver's license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record as outlined in
Spurwink's Driving Policy.
