POSITION SUMMARY:
The mission and purpose this position is to compassionately deliver high-quality service and basic, as well as advanced patient care in a professional, caring and cost-effective manner.
Paramedic Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assess each call situation to determine best course of action and appropriate protocol.
Utilize medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, intravenous fluids, CPR and other procedures and medications as required to provide advanced medical care.
Develop and utilize triage skills to provide optimal efficiency during calls.
Paramedic will provide patient care according to clinical protocols and safety requirements.
Lift and move patients as required to provide optimum care.
Communicate with receiving facility to receive medical direction and to provide critical information.

Under the direction of the Director of Operations, management/supervisory staff, and IFT-ALS Coordinator, the

Position Summary
This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Orange Coast Medical Center. The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is an unlicensed caregiver working under the direction of the Registered Nurse or Physician. The EMT provides the most basic of patient care including, but not limited to: vital sign collection, specimen collection, performance of ECG testing, and delivery of personal hygiene/physical care. EMT's perform tasks as assigned and are instrumental in facilitating departmental/unit flow activities that support patient care and promote a safe, clean environment.
