Job Description
North Brunswick First Aid and Rescue Squad is looking for highly motivated and responsible Emergency Medical Technicians to render emergency medical care to sick, disabled or injured individuals based on signs, symptoms or complaints. We operate 5 BLS units, One Rescue Truck and several support vehicles.
Shift information
Availability is requested to be submitted in 12-hour increments (6AM - 6PM, 8AM - 8PM, or 6PM - 6AM)
Job Requirements
Must put in at least 1 shift (12 hours) of weekend availability per month (Friday, Saturday, or Sundays)
Per-Diems are required to submit availability for 1 holiday in the front half of the year and 1 holiday in the 2nd half of the year.
Per-Diems must submit a minimum of 5 shifts or 60 hours per month
Availability for the next month is due by the 5th of the current month, with schedules being posted by the 10th of the month (For instance, February's availability is due by January 5th)
Qualifications
-Minimum of High School Graduate or equivalent required
-Must be at least 20 years old and a US citizen, resident-alien or possess a valid visa to live/work in the USA.
-Must have current NJ EMT, NREMT or current certifications listed in N.J.A.C. 8:40A. We require NJ EMT, for anyone with an NREMT or EMT certified through the State of New York or any member state of the Atlantic EMS Council (currently Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia) must obtain NJ-EMT reciprocity within the first 6 months of hire.
-Must have current CPR certification (Healthcare Provider or Professional Rescuer level).
-Must have Disabilities Awareness, Incident Command System Certifications ICS 100,ICS-200 (Online Okay), NIMS 700 and NIMS 800

What You Will Do:
Respond to emergencies such as fire, hazmat and disaster by deploying equipment, assist in organizing and directing others and carrying out rescues using a variety of protective gear and specialized equipment.
Respond to a wide variety of emergency medical incidents. Provide medical care consistent with Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) training. Supports paramedic on Advance Life Support (ALS) response and will be tasked with ambulance transport.

Carry out inspection and testing of a variety of facilities and equipment, tools and fire protection devices, chemicals and support devices. May assist with fire investigation when requested.
Test and repair firefighting equipment and perform condition status checks recommending overhaul and refurbishing actions to restore deficient operating parameters.
Perform routine servicing and maintenance throughout the facilities for assigned area, equipment and vehicles following specified procedures and check list, clean facilities, vehicles and equipment and painting, observation, training and related activities.

Prepare and submit a pre-hospital patient care report.

North Brunswick First Aid and Rescue Squad is looking for highly motivated and responsible Emergency Medical Technicians to render emergency medical care to sick, disabled or injured individuals based on signs, symptoms or complaints. We operate 5 BLS units, One Rescue Truck and several support vehicles.
Shift information and Job Requirements
Shifts are from 6AM - 6PM, 8AM - 8PM, 6PM - 6AM
Will be scheduled for three 12-hour shifts per week for a total of 36 hours / week
Will be required to ride every other weekend
Must be available to work day shifts, night shifts, weekends, and holidays
Schedule should be flexible, as shifts may be changed monthly to assist with filling openings on the schedule
Qualifications
-Minimum of High School Graduate or equivalent required
-Must be at least 20 years old and a US citizen, resident-alien or possess a valid visa to live/work in the USA.
-Must have current NJ EMT, NREMT or current certifications listed in N.J.A.C. 8:40A. We require NJ EMT, for anyone with an NREMT or EMT certified through the State of New York or any member state of the Atlantic EMS Council (currently Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia) must obtain NJ-EMT reciprocity within the first 6 months of hire.
