ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will evaluate donor reaction(s), which occurs at the facility as outlined in the SOPs. Follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies including the development of Center Physician's standing orders and donor transport to emergency care facilities.
You will refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs (as applicable) when in need of providing unacceptable findings to donors, or guidance concerning medical or technical issues, including donor safety and eligibility.
You will support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
You will manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER. Refer to EHS guidance regarding employee incidents.
You can be a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations associated with pandemic threats within the local community as indicated by EHS or Medical Affairs.

The EMT Security Officer will rotate patrol and standing posts, provide non-gaming escorts, and respond to potential emergencies, medical incidents, disturbances, or requests for assistance. This role will ensure the safety and experience of Gun Lake Casino Resort Guests, Team Members, and vendors while promoting Gun Lake Casino Resort's Four Diamond Standards. In addition, the EMT Security Officer is responsible for responding to medical emergency for guests and Team Members.

In this Role:
Respond to and assist in all emergencies including, but not limited to fires, medical emergencies, and criminal activity.
Respond to, evaluate, and execute medical treatment to guests and Team Members within the scope of the role.
Patrol and observe all public areas, Team Member service areas, and Casino Resort grounds for the safety of guests and Team Members.
Respond to all disturbances to diffuse an incident, preferably without the use of physical force. Be prepared to become involved in a physical altercation if necessary. Always remain alert and calm.
Observe, report, and act as directed by the Supervisor with respect to all suspicious, unusual situations.
Attend and participate in scheduled EMT meetings.
Transport and protect Company funds.
Document all incidents as directed by the immediate Supervisor.
Escort Guests and Team Members to and from their vehicles when requested.
Jump-start Guests and Team Members' vehicles when needed.
Have a working knowledge of and enforce all applicable laws, policies, and procedures related to the Casino Resort.
Be well educated and proficient in the properties Emergency Action Plan including procedures in the event of an emergency or evacuation.
Responsible for practicing, supporting, and always promoting Gun Lake Casino Resort's “Unsurpassed Service Standards”.
Practice teamwork, support fellow Team Members, and create an energized, positive team-orientated work environment for all.
Interact with Guests in a friendly and courteous manner and handle all guest opportunities.
Must have knowledge of SDS booklet location(s) for your area.
Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members, and Management in both written and verbal form.
Maintain excellent grooming and uniform standards.
Responsible for practicing, supporting, and always promoting Gun Lake Casino Resort's Four Diamond Standards.

Essential Qualifications:
Must be 21+ years of age.
Must possess a High School Diploma or GED.
One year of EMT experience preferred.
Must hold a current State of Michigan Emergency Medical Technician License or National Registry Certification.
Must maintain EMT continuing education credits as required by the State of Michigan. Continuing education opportunities will be provided by Gun Lake Casino Resort.
CPR/AED Certification required. Recertification opportunities provided by Gun Lake Casino Resort.
Must obtain a gaming license with the Gun Lake Tribal Gaming Commission.
Must possess or be able to obtain an Alcohol Awareness Card (TIPS). If not already certified, training will be provided.
A clear Motor Vehicle Record Check preferred.
Must be able to accommodate a flexible schedule including overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs, and testify in court on and off duty.
Must have a valid and unrestricted Driver's License.
Physical Requirements:
Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color, and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
Strength to subdue person(s). Must be able to run after suspects and have the stamina to climb stairs, sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time. Must be able to drag an unconscious person during an evacuation.
Requires acute sense of smell and sound and the ability to communicate clearly by two-way radio and telephone.
May require lifting of up to 50 lbs.
Further physical requirements include but not limited to standing, kneeling/crouching, walking, bending, lifting, climbing, grasping/handling, and reaching.
May be required to assist in pool/water rescue situations.
Work Conditions:
Work is typically in an area which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, and may contain second-hand smoke. Work may be performed in small areas with a 3 ft. wide access. Tasks performed from a sitting or non-sitting position. Performance of job duties will require standing, walking, stairs, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and grasping. These tasks include the maintenance and care of assigned areas. Work may entail trained chemical usage. Constant contact with fellow Team Members and Guests.
