Qualifications: B.A. degree in a related field is preferred. At least 5 years of reporting experience in a top 30 market. Extensive knowledge of the Atlanta market; including issues and topics that matter most to the community Strong videographer and editing experience, will provide additional storytelling training Prior experience in-live reporting with both live trucks and backpack streaming video preferred. KPIX is looking for a highly talented part time video editor with a passion for news and experience using non-linear editing equipment. Candidate must have a minimum of 2-5 years experience working in a fast-paced television news environment. Must be detail-oriented, and deadline driven with minimal supervision. Ability to work with Grass Valley Edius editing system a preferred. Editor must be a creative and poised team player who can juggle multiple projects at once. Candidate must be flexible with work schedule, and willing to work nights, overnights, and weekends as needed. Links to demo reel demonstrating abilities required. You will be a key member of the news team, thats critical to the overall news image and growth of the station. We are seeking a dedicated, efficient, accurate and creative writer for this position. Youll write scripts, edit video, create graphics, and assist in the overall production of stories for the Newscasts, as well as assisting in news cut-in production when necessary.
