Parasole Restaurant Holdings was founded in 1977 by Twin Cities entrepreneurs Phil Roberts and Pete Mihajlov.
Founding a Concept: 1993
By 1995, a third Buca opened in the Twin Cities suburb of Eden Prairie, followed by the first out-of-state Buca, which opened in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
His performance led him to become Chi-Chi's president and CEO, where he remained until accepting a position as president and CEO of Panda Management Company, Inc. in 1995.
1997: Buca launches a period of rapid expansion.
Following Buca's initial public offering in April 1999, the company's stock jumped by more than 50 percent on its first day.
In 2008, Parasole Restaurant Holdings welcomed guests to a second Salut location in St Paul; brought Manny’s Steakhouse to the W Minneapolis–The Foshay; and opened the hotel’s Living Room and Prohibition lounges.
