Knowledge and use of precision tools and instruments. Knowledge of boiler systems. Experience with sanitary welding. Experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred. Additional Responsibilities: Assist, plan and provide preventive maintenance and line support as required for non-routine problems and issues. Fabricate and install mechanical and electronic equipment and perform program changes. Engage in safety, compliance, continuous improvement, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) as a routine part of job responsibilities. Follow all department and plant procedures. Support the Maintenance Director through writing and closing work orders by utilizing the current CMMS and effective use of the stockroom system. Complete all training as scheduled. Perform cross training and other work-related duties as assigned. Provide training to other employees (including OJT) MINIMUM QKUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required. Communicate effectively with operations personnel to identify and resolve abnormal or degraded equipment conditions that could negatively impact safety, quality or productivity. Participate in proactive maintenance activities such as FMEA's, RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action), Analytical Troubleshooting (ATS). Document work done in sufficient detail in order to capture strong historical data for future analysis. Perform all tasks with exceptional housekeeping, maintaining strong housekeeping principles in their own personal areas. Identify and utilize proper tools for each individual job.
