PAY RATE: $25.40 - $30.17 (USD) PER HOUR The Streets III Winter Seasonal Snow Removal position removes snow from across the city to provide enhanced community safety throughout the winter season. Operates a variety of specialized equipment such front-end loader, trucks, de-icing, snow hauling, plowing, sweeping and cleaning streets, in a safe, courteous, and professional manner. Assists with asphalt paving/patching, striping/ traffic markings. Installs signposts, street signs, checks for maintenance and replaces broken signs as needed. Places temporary traffic control devices including barricades, lane cones and warning signs to channel traffic. Other duties as assigned. Brown and Caldwell (BC) has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Civil or Environmental Engineer experienced in water/wastewater planning and design. The candidate will work closely with the local Salt Lake City team and a national bench of practice leaders to deliver some of the most challenging water and wastewater projects in the region. BC is 100 percent environmental and 100 percent employee-owned; this means BC is large enough to pursue and execute any project and focused enough to maintain a strong culture. Detailed Description: BC has multiple water and wastewater projects under design and construction in the western US, including in Utah and Texas, that involve planning, design, and construction. These include all elements of water/wastewater treatment facilities as well as pump stations and piping infrastructure. The selected candidate will be expected to support delivery of these ongoing projects and also be expected to position for future work with clients which includes municipalities and regional water and sewer districts. This role will include working on teams as a senior project engineer, project manager, or design manager. It is anticipated the role will include progressively increasing client facing and client management opportunities. The candidate will be expected to support and eventually lead multi-discipline design teams, give technical guidance, adjudicate challenging client requests, be part of project pursuits, be present in the marketplace via professional organizations, mentor rising professionals, and collaborate with national experts to bring the best solutions to the projects assigned. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Knowledge of flag football, basketball, baseball, softball, or soccer programs; knowledge of rules and equipment usage; proper English usage. Responsible for using rules to make officiating decisions which affect the activities of people. Contact with the public presenting and defining officiating rules. Must be able to communicate effectively, establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and the public, and work independently or with another official on assigned games. Physical Demands/Working Conditions Frequent exposure to heat, cold and wet/humid conditions; continual field work; moderate mental effort is required; moderate mental pressure exists due to exposure to interpersonal conflicts; moderate physical exertion is present when running with the game, if necessary.

Part Time Meter Tech (Monday-Friday: 12:30-5:30PM) GENERAL PURPOSE Performs a variety of entry level semi-skilled duties related the proper operation of metering devices and the regular reading of city water meters to determine the customer consumption for billing purposes. Assists as public works crew member as needed. Additional duties as assigned. SUPERVISION RECEIVED Works under the general supervision of the Water Supervisor SUPERVISION EXERCISED None. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Meter Reading: Receives meter reading schedules; walks or drives truck over established route(s); locates residential and commercial meters and reads meter dials; utilizes MVRS, FDM and mobile collector instruments for electronic or "auto-reading" of meters. Inspects meters and connections for defects, damage, and unauthorized connections; adjusts meter reading devices; checks readings to locate abnormal consumption and records reasons for fluctuation; performs visual inspections of plumbing to locate water leaks; implements billing adjustments for bad meter reads or incorrect utility rates. Confronts various obstacles in location meters (i.e., fences, locked yards, dogs, etc.); uses ingenuity in reaching meter to conduct reading; performs general meter maintenance as needed to ensure the accuracy of meter readings. Performs the water service connect and disconnect functions as directed by utilities staff or supervisor(s); computer enters new meter connects for customer accounts; as needed, dispatches various requests to servicing departments and coordinates technical services. Performs various field GIS related functions to document locations of meters in parks, properties, homes and commercial establishments. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: * Sufficient education and experience to demonstrate an aptitude or ability to perform above and related duties; AND * One (1) year of experience in general construction, landscaping or related field; OR * An equivalent combination of education and experience. * KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Some knowledge of basic operations of water metering equipment; water valve mechanical operation; basic truck/motor vehicle operation; Interpersonal communication skills; tools, instruments, equipment used in the operation, maintenance, and construction of the water meter system.
