Summary/Objective
The Ambassador performs a variety of tasks during the funeral and memorialization process and assists Funeral Directors and other location staff to ensure services run smoothly and that the expectations of our client families and their guests are exceeded.
Essential Functions
* Greets and directs client families and their guests to the correct chapel in which services are being held.
* Directs visitors to guest book and distributes memorialization materials as needed.
* Answers questions and assists with serving the needs of the client families, their guests, and other visitors during the visitation and memorialization event.
* Receives and places flowers in chapels.
* Ensures refreshments are available to client families and their guests.
* Ensures that public spaces such as lobby, chapels, restrooms and reception/rest areas are clean and prepared prior to, and at the conclusion of, scheduled services.
* Oversees parking area and ensures family and ceremonial vehicles are arranged for formal procession.
* Assists with directing and/or transporting families and service attendees to and from service locations outside of the funeral home.
* Actively serves as an ambassador of the business in the community to build trust and loyalty.
* Represents the business in a professional, honest and ethical manner at all times.
* Maintains a professional personal appearance and demeanor while performing duties or representing the business.

Ensure proper set-up, maintenance and break down of on-site marketing and merchandising at poolside and throughout the property. Clear, clean and organize all appropriate collateral and materials at the end of every shift. Ensure merchandise is properly stocked, displayed properly, signed with pricing, sold/ordered to customers' needs and input into POS (Jackrabbit) correctly.
Check students in for swim class and to ensure that children are placed with the proper instructor and communicated on the lesson board.
Facilitate move-ups correctly with photographs, proper take-home materials, celebrate birthdays and milestones appropriately both at the pool and through social media when possible.
Take and post photos and videos appropriately to social media in a personal manner and encourage families to follow, like, comment and share.

Ensures Water Watchers program is deployed at all locations (contractually required at LA Fitness) and appropriate events.

Lobo Ambassadors exemplify the Lobo Experience and act as a guide and mentor to incoming Sul Ross students. Lobo Ambassadors will assist the Office of New Student Programs with the management and implementation of programming, including: NSO; Sully Showcase; Campus Tours; and other orientation / retention related activities. This includes but not limited to: acting as a guide for new students and families; introducing students to their academic departments; orchestrating icebreakers and community building activities during the semester; addressing questions and concerns from students in a professional manner; attending regular meetings; helping in planning events; and showing concern for the academic wellbeing of fellow students.
Lobo Ambassadors will be able to establish the following priorities for their time:
1) Academic Commitments;
2) Lobo Ambassadors Commitments;
3) Extracurricular Activities.
Lobos LEAD (Where Lobos lead, others follow):
Lobos LEAD is a retention program that is working to develop leadership skills in students while giving them opportunities to work on campus.
First Semester: Freshmen are enrolled in SRSU 1101.
Second Semester: Up to 20 second semester freshmen are invited to participate in the Lobo Leadership Academy.
Third Semester: Graduates of the Lobo Leadership Academy become SRSU 1101 Peer Mentors.
Fourth Semester: Peer Mentors move on to become Department Lobo Ambassadors.
Junior and Senior Years: We hope to place them with departments in internships.
Notes:
Lobo Ambassadors will work 4-15 hours per week [no more than ten hours if the Lobo Ambassador is also a Residential Advisor (RA)].
Lobo Ambassadors will meet bi-weekly with the Lobo Ambassador Coordinator.

Safe Redbird Ambassador broad responsibilities can include:
• Prepare training materials and deliver as needed
• Participate in student-focused emergency preparedness and safety outreach programs
• Assist with collecting and reporting on Safe Redbirds Ambassador team activities
• Act as a liaison to student groups, organizations, and/or individuals on student-focused emergency preparedness and safety related concerns
• Assist in fostering relationships and partnerships with on campus groups, inclusive of underrepresented groups
• After a campus crisis, partner with public safety departments to offer listening, outreach, advocacy and related safety and security-related services
• Be an advocate for student-focused safety and security practices for the entire University community
Additional Information
Specific responsibilities can include all or some of the following:
• Assist in delivering emergency preparedness and safety-related awareness and education campaigns
• Participate in listening sessions, outreach, relationship-building and related safety, security and preparedness-related activities
• Participate in planning sessions
• Participate during home Football games and other planned events, as needed
• Provide Safe Walks
• Assist in identifying and reporting safety or security related issues on campus

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE RECOMMENDED
1. Academic or practical experience within one or more disciplines of public safety (law enforcement, fire service, emergency medical services, public health, health sciences, nursing, emergency management, lifeguard, Explorers/Civil Air Patrol/Scouts, etc.)
2. Competency in the Microsoft Office suite of applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Work Hours

Summary/Objective
The Ambassador performs a variety of tasks during the funeral and memorialization process and assists Funeral Directors and other location staff to ensure services run smoothly and that the expectations of our client families and their guests are exceeded.

Greets and directs client families and their guests to the correct chapel in which services are being held.
