THE ROLE Legends/ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has an excellent and immediate opening for a Parking Supervisor at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. The Parking Supervisor is responsible for the overall supervision of the parking staff and operations during scheduled shifts. Also responsible for assisting in the coordination of special projects and duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Act as liaison between Parking department and User group contacts, hotel partners, Public Safety Department/CPD. Completes an inspection of each facility and its equipment each shift and reports any variances or points of concern. Provides a shift log on the operating status of parking access and revenue control equipment as well as any unique occurrences/issues to the Parking Coordinator, Asst. Manager and Manager at the end of each shift. Supervise daily activities of Lane Ambassadors and Maintenance staff in the parking department to ensure compliance to expectations. Provides leadership and team building, communicates policies and operational information, and works to ensure safety. Develops and maintains a cooperative team-building environment. Provides a positive role model encouraging open communication and positive solution-based problem solving. Performs spot checks on parking transactions for all cashiers and change banks. Monitors employee attendance and appearance noting any violations of company policy. Monitors cashier revenue reconciliation noting any deficiency as per department policy. Handles customer issues and inquiries. Promote positive customer relations by being responsive and attentive to customer needs. Assists the Parking Coordinator with reviewing shift paperwork, auditing, compilation of operating management reports, reviews parking system activity reports, attending meetings, assisting in new hire interviewing and witnessing/assisting the administration of company progressive discipline policy. Maintains department standards regarding customer service, uniform appearance, attendance, revenue controls and accounting. Adhere and administer appropriate actions related to the Progressive Disciplinary Policy. Handles parking revenue control equipment issues and services them when they require replenishment of supplies and change revenue. Plans and supervises the general maintenance tasks in our facilities. Assist in snow removal and remediation efforts during inclement weather periods and conditions to provide a clean and safe parking experience and pedestrian travel on our footprint. All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Parking Manager, Asst. Coordinator and/or Coordinator (s). SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all Legends & ASM policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems. QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge: Must have proven knowledge in parking practices and procedures including cashiering duties, monetary reconciliation, parking facility maintenance, customer service, and have a clear understanding of mechanical and computerized parking access and revenue control systems. Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license with a clear driving record. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty with energy and enthusiasm. NOTE: This is a bargaining unit position and therefore is subject to the terms of the collective bargaining agreement currently in effect between the MWCD and the FOP. GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Promotes and ensures the safety of Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District (MWCD) visitors through routine patrol and enforcement activities on its lands by motor vehicle and foot patrol and waters by watercraft (as certification and training allows). Spends considerable time performing public relations activities and public education, ensuring excellent service is provided to MWCD guests. Responds to concerns, complaints and disturbances on land and water. Enforces the provisions of the Ohio Revised Code, Ohio Administrative Code, safe boating laws, MWCD rules and regulations, as well as the Campground Rules and Regulations. Appropriately utilizes warnings, citations and arrests to enforce state laws as well as MWCD rules. May be called upon to perform duties at any MWCD reservoir/location for special assignments/projects or in emergency situations. JOB DESCRIPTION AND WORKER CHARACTERISTICS: JOB DUTIES in order of importance ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION: 65% (1) Patrols MWCD property including lands and waters; investigates incidents, complaints and accidents; issues citations, executes bench warrants, works with various law enforcement agencies in investigative and preventative measures and enforces state laws including ORC and MWCD rules and regulations; responds to water related emergencies and other emergencies as required and as certification and training allow; responds to concerns, complaints, and disturbances on land and/or water; enforces the provisions of the Ohio Revised Code, Ohio Administrative Code, MWCD rules and regulations, Campground Rules and Guidelines, and safe boating laws when applicable; renders assistance to the public by providing information pertinent to MWCD facilities, safe boating education and points of interest in the area. Administers first aid and rescue as required; notifies appropriate manager of any law enforcement /customer issues that require further attention; practices standard MWCD safety procedures in performing job duties and assists other MWCD personnel as required; notifies appropriate manager of any safety concerns realized while performing job duties. 15% (2) Maintains required ranger logs, vehicle and equipment checks, supplies inventory and reports mechanical and/or safety issues to appropriate supervisor. 15% (3) Performs routine maintenance checks on equipment; performs vehicle maintenance; performs utility checks; checks for mechanical and safety issues. Maintains required licensures and certification, if any. Meets all job safety requirements and all applicable safety standards that pertain to essential functions. Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 5% (4) Performs other related duties as assigned.
